Gaming LTTP: Arc Rise Fantasia

This has been on my HDD since forever so I decided to give it a whirl last night; I could not stop playing, it's so good. At first, I thought it'll be a generic turn based RPG but it opens up a lot more afterwards plus the difficulty is just right, not too easy and not too hard. I'm not that far into the game yet, I've just got to some major city where L'Arc lives.

Anyway, if you stopped playing this game due to the terribad VA's, get the undub and start again, I can not recommend it enough. Sometimes I forget I'm even playing a Wii game because of the graphics

Well I can believe it cause it's like anime often better when it's undub cause they leave in all the extra

... I think you've got mixed up?
Why do you think that the Japanese game has better graphics than the English version? The undub is just the voice files swapped.

I played it and the graphics look grainy to me kinda worse then Skyword Sword but still confirmation on the undub vs dub looking better?

I figured it would be the same concept that they might change some things around like Sony did another Tales game the Jap had a playable character but the 360 version US did not have the same PC but was a NPC instead.

Combat is quite fast but if you're expecting some as fast like FFXIII, go play FFXIII

Yeah I found ARF to be incredibly fun.
The main cast of characters aren't bad for VAing though, once you get used to them, but the more minor characters are fucking terrible.

There are some ridiculously difficult fights in that game, but they're so fun. I was surprised how much I enjoyed the turn based combat. I usually can't stand it. Plus you REALLY REALLY need to use all of your characters, and buy all their weapons to unlock the things on them, because they're useful as hell.

What era do you watch anime from?
I dunno about pre-2000, but anything post-2000 and you're full of shit. The video isn't TOUCHED for anime dubs and undubs, since the audio tracks are completely separate.

there are plenty of anime that when they come to the united states edit a lot of things out like nudity or blood; these are just some minor things but there are others as well where they alter some part of the movie for us Americans. This is the quality loss I'm referencing. Though my eyes are green so I don't think im full of it good sir

Never played FFXIII, and I dont plan to... Im just very allergic to all types of turn-based combat. Real real-time or gtfo plz ;D
If I hadnt played MMOs for the past 6 years, Id probably be allergic to autoattacks as well. (although I am to some extent)

Y'know I've started playing the game last week and so I've put in around 17 hours.

The first ten hours is a piece of piss, after that you will need to become much more tactical with how you battle or else. On the whole I like the game, I was in a mood for a generic JRPG and I'm finding this really enjoyable.

Personally I think the dub is brilliant albeit for the wrong reasons.
