Hardware New firmware update for the 3ds 22/12/2011

Hi guys

Just went onto the e-shop and it promted me to do a system update.
My system is upto date as i already have the gba games etc and assumed it was for swap note, however the shop hasnt been updated nor has the system menu.

You reckon its just for the realease of swapnote in a few hours?

It happened in America and the UK, so I'm guessing that it is for Swapnote.

Yeah, I just went into the eshop and it asked me to update too... updating now...

EDIT:
Yeah, it updated from 3.0.0-5U to 3.0.0-6U. (I'm from Canada by the way)

I dont have a flash cart, but i doubt that they will be affected, its to quick for nintendo.

My Acekard is fully updated, but I wont test anything on 3DS, don't want to be bricked... even if it is just a threat.
