Criminal Girls Delisted from PSVita Compatability list

Nippon Ichi announced today that it has removed Criminal Girls from PlayStation Vita's backwards compatibility list. When played on the Vita, the PSP title has a bug where some of its sound will not play back. After an investigation, Nippon Ichi determined that the issue was with the Vita specifications, forcing them to remove the game from the official list of backwards compatible titles.

Very bad news as this could be a widespread problem once more PSP titles are added to the compatibility list. If a really major title like Disgaea or a Final Fantasy title ends up like how Criminal Girls ended up, it could be trouble for Sony. It also officially confirms that PSP emulation is software only which makes things worse.

Yes, but don't you want to hear the sounds of the girls being tortured for your pleasure, not to mention the spanking and such is a requirement to even play the game and get new abilities and no sound kills the point since they will scream or beg for more when you apply punishment to them .

True but this is not Nintendo we are speaking about, it's Sony, they might not fix it and if they do, it will be due to a major title having issues or fan outcry. Sony didn't even include PS classics and TG16/PC engine support on launch.

No it wasn't. Sony earns direct income from the PSN PSP titles. Would Sony earn money from OOP PS2 games sold second hand? No. The potential income lost between the two cases is only comparable if you're trying to prove an impossible point.

This would apply to the US/EU/AU only, Japan had Visual Novels on the PS2 coming out until the end of last Year. There were also a few other games for it as well in Japan.

Visual Novels published and developed by Sony themselves? Because if not the cut they'd get from a third party studio would be minimal indeed compared to the cut they'd get from digital games hosted on the PSN.
