I had an issue with my 3DS I owned back in September (A flame red one) was the screens touching and causing a line. Was this fixed with the Zelda 3DS? I seen an article somewhere I forgot where that shows the Zelda 3DS had better bumpers.

Reason I ask is because I have a choice this Christmas of a new tv or a 3ds and some games..

Screen protectors.
Rubberfeet of a RRoD 360.

2 options that minimize scratches on the 3DS.

As for your question.
Some people say it does and some say it doesn't
I say just slap on a screen protector and you're safe enough.

The yellow-ish image he reports on the topic, is probably the power-saving mode. That might also be the 3rd "improvement"/reason why the new console "has a more durable battery".

I sometimes get lines on my top screen if that's what you mean. It just lines though and they do wipe off pretty easily. It's not like a scratch or anything.

I think its true. My brother has the zelda 3DS bundle, and he has none of the problems my 3DS has. He also said that he played for 5 hours with 3D and wifi on before his battery died.

Yes, and for the yellow image, some people said they had it on "new model" but they asked for an exchange and they had no more yellow image.

The two screen comparisons are ridiculous...

One has a screen protector, and the other doesn't... that's such BS. On top of that, the 3D is on, and both of the 3DS's are at different angles... When you turn on the 3D, and look at it from different angles, the brightness changes.

Terrible comparison... I don't believe they changed the brightness.

Thank you Tsukurimashou, that is the link I was looking for and to me it looks all set to go. I think if I can get that bundle I will then if not then I'll go with a Flame Red Bundle and will also get Mario Kart and possibly Pokemon Rumble Blast.

Hi, i'm the author of this comparison.

Sorry to said that, but both 3DS have screen protector, same brand, but different size.
Both are power saving set to No.
Look pictures closer ^_-

And I didn't mean that all new 3DS have necessarily both new screen and bumpers. It probably depends on the factory line or building time.

my friend recently bought a 3ds and i can say that his screen is definitely more yellow. I remember the ds lites have these as well (some were yellow while others weren't). I didn't tell my friend this because at first i thought that his screen was just inferior to mine xD (since mine is not yellow). I didn't notice any brightness difference though, but i wasn't looking for it in the first place.
