480 hours of battery? I'm sold, even with the bulky design.

That's how long the battery in the slider expansion will last. It won't extend the 3DS battery life.

I'm sure the manual means peripheral play time and not system play time.

You do realize they are referring to the battery for the analog stick itself, right?
Not extending the battery life of the console itself.

Priceless. "Lets add some kind of peripheral and extend the batter time by over 120 times the original! Just a few months after the original release!" Made me laugh hard :P

OT: This isn't that bad, considering the fact that the thing has a huge size vs the original 3DS size. Can the thing be charged at the same time as the 3DS?

Extends 3DS life by 480 hours? HOW SHORT. I believe some can extend up to a thousand. /sarcasm

Anyways, I think that's how long the thing can last with the battery on.

Ah thats what i was looking for.

............The title is very misleading.
Title doesnt deserve the grace of being labeled "misleading" the title is just wrong lol

That actually sounds very likely, but incredible.
What the slider pad is doing is just sending IR codes to the 3DS each button press, which shouldn't take much battery.
If this comes with a battery, you won' even notice it takes batteries for a LONG time.

I'll wait for a third party version that attaches via 3DS slot and powers both( for longer than the standard battery) thank you very much! :P

Also, I'm thinking this needs a title change...

This has to be a error if one AAA battery not even the gameboy pocket lasted that long and it ran on AAA's
Perhaps that's how long the slide pad itself sounds but even then it still seems far fetched

EDIT: I derped and misread sorry :(
