My 2 year old son has stuck a penny in my Wii drive for the second time. I fixed it the first time and I'll fix it again when I have a little time spare, but, for now, I'd like to back up some games to my drive without using the Wii.

I thought Wii Backup Manager could do this, but I put the Wii disc in my computer and it says "No valid disc". Is there another piece of software that can do it?

Damn, I thought it was just a special format that could be read by any drive if you had the right software. Oh well, looks like I need to get my trusty tri-wing out so the kids can play their new games.

Yeah it's easier to install it directly on wii. What do you mean with tri-wing? Can't you wii read discs anymore?

I think the guy clearly stated that his son stuck a penny in the wii disc drive so it can't read discs for now & he was lazy/busy to open it and remove the penny so he wanted to backup some games using the pc to play them with a usbloader instead of having to open the wii now.

Thanks for the replies all. Yes, there was a penny in my drive, but I managed to get it out and everything's fine now.
