anyone know the trade in value for a 360 elite 120GB? comes with all accessories (controller, video cable, power cable)

I can heatgun it and get it working again then trade it in
reason why is gamestop is having an + extra $50 trade in credit when you trade in a 360 or ps3 this month

and the 4GB slim is on sale for $150 (I have 2 other 360 phats I can use a hdd from so not a huge problem)

Just checked on their website and they sell refurbed phats for 140 so you'll probably get half that or a little less. The sell the hard drive for 50$ so probably 25 or so for that.

I just checked with my gamestop because I planned on doing the same thing. In cash 4.00 in Store credit 8.00. Also you only get the 50$ if its in store credit. And the xbox (not sure if u have the right one as me but mines not phat). Anyways my xbox WITH the 120GB was only 101$ -__-"" I feel like i'm being ripped off lol. So the phat is probably around 30$ less so maybe 60-80?

I called and they said they dont give trade in values over the phone, I have to bring in the system for them to examine it

I know about the store credit, I plan on buying a 4GB slim for $150 there on black friday (or saturday) only if I can trade this one in

I only paid $50 for this xbox when it was rrod, so even $60 is good but would prefer as much as possible and add $50 to that with the bonus
it also came with the wireless USB internet adapter so I can sell that locally for $25
Don't they check for the MS seal?
I have another 360 with the seal intact so I can just use a hair dryer and take it off and put it on this one

they gave me 95 bucks for it and i traded my elite in 3 days ago.
that was with the extra $50?

also did they check anything on the system, like if the seal was broken (have to remove the faceplate to check it) and they tested it out?

I don't know the price for 120GB, but i can tell you when i traded in my 360 earlier today they just plugged it in for a few seconds, powered it on and checked to see if the disc tray opened. They didn't check anything else other than scanning the serial bar on the back of the system.

went to gamestop today and traded it in

they took off the faceplate and looked at the seal, the seal was slit down the middle but wasnt removed, they didnt check if it was cut only is its removed, so caught a break there
then they plugged it in and tested it for 1 min so see if rrod came up (I heat gunned it and put the original x-clamps back on along with next thermal paste so it shouldnt rood for a few weeks maybe months)
the wireless netwrok adapter was worth $15 (i was gonna try and sell it locally for $20 so I just traded it in)
the 360 elite its self was worth $95 w/ $50 included (elite console, controller (which was broken, they didnt know that though :P ) power cord, rca video cable)
so got $110 for everything

I kept the 120GB hdd, they would only give me $6 for it and I needed it since I got a 4GB slim and $6 wasnt worth it at all

all and all I only paid $42 for the 4GB slim w/ the $110 store credit(technically it will be 120GB once I pop in the other hdd) , pretty good deal

Gamestop is a ripoff. They wanted my bro's FF7 back in 2005 for 4.99. Shoulda sold it on Craigslist or eBay.
Still, not bad.

yea I know

as I said, only reason I did it was because of the extra $50 trade in credit
I would have sold it locally otherwise but still wouldnt have gotten as much

anyway I inserted the 120GB hdd and it works fine, need a casing for it though

42$ out of your own pocket for a new 360 is a pretty sweat deal. Even more so since essentially the phat 360 you turned in was broken anyway.
