Whats my system

2 wiis
4.2U and 4.0U
Both of em have D2X V7betaD installed.
Followed the exact instructions i saw in that link - http://www.wiiflowiki.com/Wiiflow
Both of em have the newer Wiiflow, version 417

Whats happening

Kirby Return to Dreamland - Working 100%
Back to the Future - It starts, but when i choose one episode, it gives me an eternal black screen
Monopoly Collection - Same thing as Back to the Future.

People have told me games like Back to the future (AND Monopoly Collection AND metroid prime trilogy AND Sam and Max) work reloading IOSs. And to a USB loader to run then properly, you need to turn on the "Block IOS reload" option

The thing is, i could never make it work

People said D2X made Block IOs reload to work. In my 2 wiis, i just cant get it done.

HOW?

I've read that Back to the Future works with Configurable USB Loader (but not WiiFlow). Also, what base IOS did you use to install d2x?

I had to install the following:

IOS249 / d2x v6 / base 56
IOS250 / d2x v6 / base 57

before those games worked fine. You could try that as well. (Use the d2x installer.)

cacildo, are you using the latest nightly build of Wiiflow R417 ???
the official R417 on dropbox does not work with IOS Reload games

The nightly build (R417 alpha4) works again with these games. Available here : http://dl.dropbox.co...iiflow/boot.dol

you can check this message on the official wiiflow thread : http://gbatemp.net/topic/204106-wiiflow-an-open-source-gui-usb-loader/page__view__findpost__p__3958175

Thanks Badablak. That was exactly it.

Just tried Back to the future and its working.

There´s only one more thing now.

This new Wiiflow have a hard time recognizing my HDD (which had no problems with the old wiiflow)

In fact, only easier way to get it working is to run the old wiiflow, go back to system menu and then run the new Wiiflow. This trick works about 50% of the time.

Is there a way to talk to these guys about this compatibility issues?

i would take note of the fact that the word alpha is in the version number, and just wait for a stable release. Plenty of other games to play in the meantime.

Nonono, its perfect now! I mean, i just need it to be more stable. As said above, only 50% of the time this version of wii flow recognize my HDD. (and the old one got everything right 100% of the time)

Haha, WiiFlow was most likely missing the "Sam & Max fix"(one line of code), which is known to be required for Sam & Max and the CSI games.
