his impressive combat system leads to some of the most interesting boss battles in the series' history. Whether you're fighting a giant scorpion or a sword-swinging robot, Skyward Sword rarely falls back on the formula of using a tool to knock out the boss and then attacking it three times in a row. You need to be much smarter and much more persistent to best these bad guys. In fact, the last two boss encounters are the most difficult fights in any Zelda game thus far.

This just happened folks, Game Informer jumped the gun and told us straight out - Skyward Sword got a 10/10. Good news for the Zelda community, and Nintendo in general, as Game Informer is known to not toss around 10's that easily. We do not have the full review yet, and won't have it until next week, but there are a few quotes of interest, namely the bolded part above. This doesn't just bring a smile to my face, it raises a few questions - what WAS the most difficult boss in Zelda up to this point?
I would be very surprised if the final two bosses end up being more difficult than say... Thunderbird, but we will know VERY soon, and speculating on that subject would have us running in circles very fast. Check out the other two samples from the Game Informer review:

Skyward Sword's combat and puzzle-solving rise above the majority of Wii releases (and even most recent Zelda games) thanks to the clever and challenging implementation of motion controls. Most Zelda titles have simplistic combat where mashing a single button turns into a frenzy of flourish-filled combos. Skyward Sword demands a much higher level of patience and mastery. The direction you swing the Wii remote directly correlates to the angle the sword slices in-game, and enemies are smart and fast enough to block incoming attacks.

I had concerns that carefully plotting my attacks for every swing would get boring or frustrating, but the opposite was true. I've never felt as engaged or interested in the combat portion of a Zelda game as with Skyward Sword. If you run into a group of enemies waggling the Wii remote like a madman, you will be torn to shreds. Success in swordplay depends on studying opponents' moves and attacking at the right time and from the right angle. When the correct method to defeat each foe finally clicked, I felt a sense of satisfaction that repeatedly tapping the A button never provided

Now for the complete 180 of the hate train for that so-called "blasphemous" Sonic Generations review.

I can see it, the game looks good. I'll definitely play it provided my WM+'s still work and the anti-piracy doesn't require too much work. I still CBA to get Return to Dreamland to work.

I just remember people saying Game Informer was trash and terrible when they gave it a 6.5 (even though Eurogamer gave it a 7 and the average is around 76% for the game) and even wrote them off as "worse than IGN". Now they're giving a widely anticipated game a 10/10 and I'm sure people will be repainting the hate train to become the praise train.

I just really hate Bioshock. Like with a passion. Maybe it's because everyone thinks it's amazing and I thought it was mediocre, maybe I've had bad experiences with some people's obsession over it, maybe I just have a stick up my pooper, but I have a secret hatred of Bioshock.

22 games in 11 years? Yeah. That's pretty fantastic statistics.
Oh and IGN said it's the best Zelda game ever.

Did you ever play any of those games? You could easily log tons of hours and fun into THPS2, given the levels, stuff to do, and great soundtrack, im pretty sure these games deserve 10s. and i personally agree with alot of GIs reviews.
