It was found out that Nintendo is planning to release downloadable demo’s on the Nintendo 3DS eShop. Now it seems as though Capcom are in talks with Nintendo to provide a demo for the forthcoming Resident Evil: Revelations. Hopefully it will be a new demo, and not just the one previously bundled with Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D.

“We’re in talks with Nintendo about that and I agree, I think that would help sales a lot. For that to happen we need to get permission to use a larger filesize than demos currently are allowed.”

- Christian Svensson, Capcom

people will definitely need a larger capacity SD card come November. i mean, bigger firmware update, additional apps, maybe if we get lucky a few Ambassador GBA titles.

oh yeah, don't forget. 3D videos. people are gonna be making stop motion vids left and right, and people will want to share all the cool stuff they make, and us poor suckers will tend to wanna download them for all the coolness they are. kinda like sharing Flipnotes, except you don't have to draw anything. well, you can, on paper, i guess, and then do a stop motion on that. more awesomeness!

There was a limit on demo size?

Anyways, I hope it isn't a "paid" demo.

I hope not. It's suppose to persuade us to buy the actual full game. So if they make the DLC a paid demo, not many will give a crap lol
Specially when they got it at $50 dollars.

Idk, I didn't think my card is nowhere near full yet and I sell got some 3ds on board memory.

That's the Gamestop price, right? While I find $50 to be too much for a portable game, I wonder if that price is specific to a bundle, like if it came with the Circle Pad Pro? It does support it.
It a preorder bonus with a special made case, but usually the bonus isn't added to the price.
I didn't want the case anyway.

Not paying for a $50 portable game. Not even first party.

Why not? It's a pretty good price. If you don't want to pay $50, here, for example, 3DS games here cost $100 each.

hey, quality doesn't come cheap. only exception i can think of is with china quality standards, ahaha. plus of course, the rare bunch that combines quality with dirt cheap price (think Humble Indie bundles).

but yes, the general rule is that premium games command premium prices. only a fool would think or expect otherwise.

Not sure if this was posted elsewhere, but they released a factsheet with some more info:

- Taking place between the events of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5, new storyline featuring series favourites Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield plus new BSAA members, mysterious agent Raymond Vester and Head of the BSAA Clive R. O’Brian.

- Classic survival horror gameplay returns – Campaign mode’s single player experience sees gamers investigating a range of different locations including the dark confined spaces of a cruise ship and the treacherous snow covered mountains. With limited ammo and weapons, fight off infected enemies that lurk around every corner.

- Raid Mode – Compete in single player or two player co-op as Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield. Attack the enemies to earn points that can be used to upgrade your character and weapons.

- Brand new threat – A new kind of enemy and virus, the T-Abyss, that not only attacks you on the ground but also under water is set to join the legions of Resident Evil enemies and provide a unique challenge for players.

- Utilizes the unique 3DS features – Make use of the touch screen to solve puzzles and switch between weapons.

- Use your equipment – Analyze enemies and investigate areas with the Genesis scanner to reveal hidden items.

- First person shooter view – choose the shooting style that suits you and pin point your enemies with the ability to alternate between first and third person views.

- Localized voice over – In a first for a Capcom title, Resident Evil Revelations will provide a voice over in five different European languages.

- Outstanding visuals – MT Framework Mobile, Capcom’s proprietary game engine brings the horror to life on the Nintendo 3DS screen.

- Compatible with Nintendo 3DS Circle Pad Pro – Add a fourth control scheme to your gameplay experience with the Circle Pad Pro
