Monitoring texts?

So I have AT&T and I was wondering if my parents are able to monitor what I'm saying in my texts in any way? 3rd party programs included.

as far as i remember there isnt a way for your parents or company for that metter, to monitor your texting.

Service provider? Yes - Or it may just be who you text/what time. Not sure.
Parents? No, not the whole text.
If you're on contract and they signed for it, they'll have access to who you call, etc.

or maybe they can just take your phone and read your sent texts
just delete them after they're sent and you should be safe!?

yeah i had that typed up the first time, then i lost my post to a 502 error. Your parents/company can check if they have online serices to see who you are texting and when, but the actual messages are encoded for phones only.
