ok, so i bought a sharp LC26SD1E after reading it had component input, turns out the component aspect is used via vga and the tv originally had an adapter that is missing and iv never seen!

so my question is...

can i use this :

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B005H6XEJ6/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_3?pf_rd_p=103612307&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B001HVZJTS&pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_r=1MWRHTV5MQCFQVK9QSXG

to plug the vga end to my tv and use the adapter to plug in my wii component cable? the adapter says RGB TO RCA, but id be doing RGB TO RGB wouldnt i? would that work? would it still display in 480p?

"RCA" only tells you what kind of connector it is, not whats flowing through them.

A short quote from wiki: "An RCA connector, sometimes called a phono connector or cinch connector, is a type of electrical connector commonly used to carry audio and video signals. The name "RCA" derives from the Radio Corporation of America, which introduced the design by the early 1940s to allow mono phonograph players to be connected to amplifiers."

But yea, I dont see why that cable wouldnt work.
