It took me over 10 years to beat the game (Not because of the puzzles) but because I had a lot of road blocks on SEVERAL seprate occasions I played and had my data lost or erased and lost intrest then my N64 broke then again lost data because of computer malfuction. (ending wit me losing my project 64 data ) anyways after that I tried the game on the N64oid (Android N64 Emulator) It work great and sense I have my phone all the time I progressed thru the game quckly and caught up to were my game got erased (Water Temple) . When I finally beat the game I was happy but also Sad that a great game that I had awesome and bad times with was over

How did you get it to work properly on N64oid?
For some reason Master Quest regularly freezes on me (using N64oid 2.2.3 on a Nexus S)

Ocarina of time was so much better yet I still feel Majora's Mask has greatness in there somewhere.

Majora's Mask is about ∞ times better than Ocarina of Time
QFT. It gets off to a slow and boring start at the begging, but then the rest of the game is amazing. Kind of like how Twilight Princess is, except not as tedious and boring.

This little circle sign means infinitely. He liked Majora's Mask better, not Ocarina.

The water temple is incredibly easy.

And Pong, thanks a lot for letting me know about the latest version of N64oid.
For some reason I thought N64oid 2.2.3 was the latest since I couldn't find anything about a newer version online.

Oh, and BTW, 2.4.2 was released today.

I've played most of the Zelda games released.

Ocarina of Time has to be the one I've played the most, and the one I own the most copies of, haha. I own it on the Wii, I also had to inject a .wad to play masterquest on the Wii, but I dumped the rom from my collector's disc for the GC myself so I could play it. I even bought a 3DS to play the 3DS version of OoT, and OoT MQ. Heck, I purchased a 64drive for my N64 for working on homebrew and loading backups of N64 games, so I've been playing Zelda OoT, Majora's Mask, and MQ on that. I've also been tinkering with the OoT MQ Debug Rom, had to use a "patch" to translate the options into English.

It's simply amazing playing with debug roms on the real hardware, it makes it feel so much more fulfilling.

Congratulations on beating this game though, you're officially considered a true N64 gamer now :D It's an amazing game, and I agree that Majora's Mask isn't /as/ good as OoT, but it does grow on you later on in the game. You just have to get use to the 3 day limit thing, going back in time, and all of that. Also, you should take advantage of the bank, since you don't lose your ruppies when you go back in time.

I just lost interest by the final boss fight. The game seemed kinda boring. Maybe impressive ten years ago, but nowadays I can just play Twilight Princess. Which I did about 5 times and found it better than Ocarina of Time. Maybe because it's modern, but I've played older games that have impressed me, and I wouldn't count OoT as one of them.

Each to their own man. Personally, I liked TP, but it was too short for a Zelda game.
