eriol33 It has been 6 years since the last time I bought a laptop. My last laptop - lenovo z480 7734 was my first gaming laptop that I bought before I embarked for my post graduate study in new zealand. I bought a laptop with a dedicated gpu thinking that I would have no access of my console games so it would be nice to have an all-one-device. I admit I was surprised to find out how cheap the games are priced on steam, to the point I was hoarding games thinking "oh so cheap, buy!" I kinda regret it now because my steam's list now has so many games that I didn't really like and a result of impulsive buying.

I kinda like the freedom of being able to mod and cheating in single player games however. I think that's the nicest aspect of PC gaming.

Fast forward to 2016, I bought a PS4 because persona 5 was just released, and after that I was confused what I should have played because many modern games these days are too action oriented for my taste, and they feel similar to each other: open world games with endless side quests. I don't know why people love this genre so much, but I totally dislike it. Final fantasy has become the biggest victim of this trend. I played FF XV for a while and disliked it. The game's presentation is wonderful, but the game lacked story and writing to make you care the characters enough. I don't understand why they filled this game 300+ side quests in this game instead of focusing on good main story with quality side quests. My most favorite franchise in the recent time is definitely deus ex series (HR and MD) and mass effect (2 and 3), because they have a limited open world quests and those quests are quite meaningful and reward with you stories that could enrich the game's narrative. Most open world games these days are just a fetch quest that only reward you with items or points, or whatever that add nothing to the lore.

After playing some games in ps4, I am having a hard time to play games that kept me engaging, even in 5.05 CFW. I played tales of berseria for a while and the premise is good. However since I bought a new gaming laptop, Asus FX505DT which equipped with AMD raizen 5 and GTX 1650, I finally could go back to pc gaming again, and play the newest PS4 exclusives. I admit that the only ps4 exlusives that intrigued me at the moment are: spiderman, KH3, the upcoming FFVII and Persona 5 the royale.

Unfortunately, I feel Ps4 homebrew scene is dead. Being able to play backups is no longer necessary now that I could just buy the non-exclusive games on PC or buy the exclusives during PSN sale for a cheap price.

What recent PS4 exclusive games that you think worth to play if you are to upgrade your 5.05 FW the recent one?
