Super Mario RPG Shop Editor

INTRODUCTION
To test my skills in VB.NET I decided to write this utility as a starting point. The testing process was a bitch at times but the effort was well worth it for the finshed program you have. This is a very stable robust easy to use Shop Editor for Super Mario RPG on the SNES. Features include a easy to use drag and drop shop editor plus a Item Price editor built to edit the price's of various item's in the game. I hope someone finds this utility useful in there SMRPG hacks. Enjoy. :)
REQUIREMENTS
OS: Win98, WinNT, Win2000, or WinXP

HOW TO USE SM-RPG SHOP EDITOR
* Names that are in Italic represent parts of the program.
As I've said using this program was designed to be simple. Look at the image below...
Say you want to add some items to the "Shop List" of the Mushroom Kingdom shop. Just scroll threw the "Item List" box and pick a item, then hold down the mouse on the item and a black NO sign should appear. Drag the item over to the slot in the "Shop List" you would like the item to appear while still holding the left mouse button down. A + sign should appear indicating that it is ok to drop the item there. Now drop the item to correct slot in the "Shop List". Viola you just added a item to the mushroom kingdom's shop list. Now in order to make changes permanment so you can play your hacked rom you need to click the "Hack The Rom" button. This just writes all the changes you made to the shop data to the rom.
If you want to edit a different town just click on the "Shop Location" list and select the shop in the game you would like to edit. The "Shot List" will adjust automatically when you choose a new Shop to start editing. There are about 24 shops in the entire game.
I bet you have guessed what the "Shop Currency" box does by now... This allows you change the type of money you use at different Shops. Just click the Shop you want in the "Shop Location" list who's currency you want to edit and select if you want the shop to sell stuff in frog coins or gold coins. Simple as that. You can also edit the shop's item's while your at it. Also you must be aware that by using frog coins in a shop this will shorten how many items can be used in a Shop!
Ok so you know how to use most of the program already. Now let's look at the Item Price Editor...
THE ITEM PRICE EDITOR
Here is what the Item Price Editor looks like. To use it simply click on the "Item List" then select a item you would like to edit. The current price for the item will appear in the "Price Box". Now just type in a new value anywhere between (0-999) in the "Price Box". Continue this process until you have edited all the item's prices you want then click the "OK" button or click the Close button on the title bar. This will take you back to the Shop Editor screen. To make the changes of the item prices final you have to click the "Hack The Rom" button.
Once you are content with all the changes you made to the item prices and the shop lists you can then hack the rom with all the changes you made by clicking the "Hack The Rom" button.
If you dont like going to the Item Price Editor dialog box to change item prices you can just press the Enter key whenever you have a item selected on the Shop Editor window under the "Items List" to make quick changes to item prices. Remember this value can only be between (0-999). If you enter a errorenous value the program will catch it and display a message box telling you.
WELL
That's about all I have to say on this program. I know this help file sucks but I hate writing help files and just decided to quickly whip this out so people will understand quickly how to use this program. On a side note you probaly notice the "Item Text Editor" menu item under the Tools menu. Well I decided it's not that important to put it in. So I may put that in a future release if the need arises. So I guess that's about all I have to say. Look out for Yousei's new version of ff3ed coming soon. It's going to kick some ass.
