A complete PS2 save game? Like, PS2 save game files? I'm afraid the PCSX2 core, unless if things have changed in the past three months, is still in beta, if even that from the last time I heard about it. You can be sure that, depending on how RetroArch handles saves, that you will be seeing those uploaded sooner or later!

Whether it can be used with an actual PS2 is something you'd have to do some research on. If anything, what you'd be looking for is probably some guide to convert PCSX2 memory cards/save files to work on a PS2, and that would probably involve using a PS2 with Free McBoot and other tools, I imagine. I can't comment much about the PS2 homebrew scene as I don't have an actual PS2 that I can test that out with. Maybe one of these days...

    16.0.3 support was added into Atmospheré, so it should be alright, but I'd prefer sticking with a lower firmware version just to be safe.
