It has been a very interesting world cup this year so far, with all these "big" nations (Germany, Argentina, Portugal, Spain) out already this early...Personally, I'd like to see one of the underdogs making it to the final and having a run for the cup.
A pity my (2nd) favorite team, Japan, almost won in the round of 16 but still couldn't hold it out until the end against Belgium; their performance has already exceeded my expectations at the beginning of the tournament, though.
And then there's Russia, the big surprise that went all the way from being called the worst team of the tournament to beating Spain on penalty to make it to the quarterfinals; it'll be interesting to see how far they'll be able to go.
