wiimote dpad is treated like arrow keys in KDE plasma 5 please help

its been forever since i posted. i'm not dead lol.
the Ask section and the PC sections are dead, so I have to ask here; whenever I pair a Wiimote to me KDE neon system (i hopped from Ubuntu Budgie to KDE neon), the DPAD is treated like the arrow keys for some reason. why?

I'm afraid that I don't have plans to use a Wiimote in any form or fashion on my PC anytime soon...
