Why am I expected to be nice?

Why am I expected to be nice?

Recently, I was in a situation where someone expected me not to retaliate for his/her provocation. That person was "testing" me... :glare: In that person's opinion, I failed.
 I did not deserve that. Why could not that person talk with me about the problem?

After that, some thought I also was wrong for retaliating and decided to not take sides. :(
Was I wrong? I mean, I am the logical thinker, if you provoke me, what do you expect?

honestly even the nicest people can be provoked if you push the wrong buttons i think said person shouldn't have provoked you in the first place and i agree the person should have just talked to you about it.a simple conversation can go a long way when it comes to solving problems.so no i don't think you were wrong at all.

What precisely was the point of this person 'testing' you?

And to be clear, if someone thought their 'testing' of me was a good idea, I'd show them that it wasn't.

I AM a very nice guy, right up to the point where a person intentionally angers me. And believe me, if it was just for the sake of 'testing' me, I likely would not restrain my response in the slightest.

Their actions were extremely rude and offensive. They got what they deserved.

Treating people how they deserve to be treated should be common practice. If someone acts like an ass, treat them like one. If someone's nice, treat them nice. Simple as that. You weren't in the wrong.

Though I gotta question the situation.
Being provoked as a "test" sounds like something a girl(friend) would do. If that's the situation, even if it's wrong to do so...you might have wanted to hold your tongue. More or less just to save from a headache because "omg you failed my random test!"

That person thought I "broke his trust", which, I can assure you, is not true.

I did not know that it was a "test". Actually, according to that person, it was a trap.

No, fortunately, it was not with those kinds of relationship. It was in the internet and, although I did not know that person well and should not care too much about what happens in the internet, I trusted that person until that point and was hurt when that happened.

Was this person in a position of power?

But seriously, strange freakin' crap that whole incident was. I STILL don't feel safe.

Part of me says that I should ask people who support me to boycott it, but that is not nice, I think.
I am a little disappointed that one person, who I thought supported me, now joined them. That person already explained to me (why he/she did that), but still...

DS1, I think you know this, but, just in case, I was not referring to you in my previous posts. You are nice and I appreciate what you said to me. BTW, reply to my poll, when you have time. http://gbatemp.net/t224820-best-pet-cat-or-dog

Oh, I didn't read any of those other posts, I just assumed I understood the situation ahaha.

I think 'this person' is going to try to help you eventually, by using their new-found power. If they don't, I think it would be pretty rotten. I'm pretty sure 'this person' of all people knows how helpful you were. I never liked 'this person' too much, but I think 'this person' is a reasonable person.

Also, gigatron is back ALREADY, what a fucking loser. I wish he wouldn't give shit to people like Kesadisan.

"This person" seems to be reasonable, but "this person" also likes "that place" and would like me to go back and suggested me to create a new "alias". I said that I will only go back if they "allow me". "This person" wants to help (offered to help, was not asked for "that power") put "that place" back on track and make it a good place again, so I don't think he will do anything for me.

Is gigatroll that kurono guy? I can't understand him... A long time ago, he was banned while attacking ZP, then he disappeared. I don't know why he is insisting now.

Yeah that's him. I just hope 'that person' is smart enough to ban him again.

Also, like I said I'm pretty sure he's a mod who just makes other accounts.

I think he noticed that there is no one taking care of that place as actively as before and it is easy to make another "alias".

About here, they already closed my topic about that singer. I tired of all this. I'll stay in 4chan, like ZombiePuppy. I'll continue reading both sites and using this PM system, though.

Ugh 4chan :glare: Have fun I guess? I need to find a new hobby.

It's plenty bad, there is no convincing me, for I am not the Logical Thinker hahaha.

New hobby for many reasons. Games are something I do when I'm alone, I don't take extreme joy in most of them, it's usually just a time-killer. If it were not for DS and R4, I would just play a little PS2 or nothing at all (lol, make up my own damn game out of cardboard and play that).

I like translating, but I've been doing more non-video game translating recently so that fills that need.

*rant*rant*rant*

And that's why I need a new hobby.

I understand the situation about games. Maybe you should take a break (1 week?) or play/replay a game/series that you really enjoy. Currently, I am not in the mood to play Megaman, Mario, Sonic, but I am really enjoying Ace Attorney: JFA. There are times when I go back to Street of Rage 2 to remember how games were good.
If you like sandbox games, try this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Just_Cause_2

I also like translating, but I have to translate everything in these sites and when I watch TV shows (because English is not my first language), so I am already satisfied.

I thought your current hobby was eating?

Ah yes, I spend some time cooking and then eating what I cook. I'm almost finished with Miles Edgeworth Investigations (played all the other ones). I basically use them to get to sleep because reading makes me tired lol.

I believe I should be clear: I don't have a gaming computer. Not even close. Never have, never will. I have a DSLite with a broken hinge, a PSP with more problems than I care to talk about, and a PS2 that works about 50% of the time on account of overuse and laser damage by modchip.

About 4chan: http://knowyourmeme.com/photos/47820

Did you know that reading makes (almost) anyone (more) sleepy?
I don't like playing games, in which the story is important or interesting, while being sleepy. I like to understand and enjoy every detail of every sentence.

I heard about that game in the past, but never tried it. I prefer realistic games (Gran Turismo, Live for Speed, GTR and rFactor).

You play Live for Speed? That is quite a good racing game, though I am not able to play because of both my computer and the fact that my Logitech Wheel's pedals are total crap. I hear iRacing is the best, but you have to pay a monthly fee, plus you pay for every car and track you want. Still very cool though.

Anyway Kaidou Battle 2 IS realistic (as realistic as Gran Turismo, if not more), but not as much as GTR or LFS. I also don't like those arcade racers like Need for Speed or Initial D.

I play only the demo. I already thought about buying it, but I don't have a wheel, so I'd not be able to enjoy it entirely.
iRacing is even more expensive and seems too serious, I don't know if it is worth it.

It is? Isn't it like Tokyo Extreme Racer? Gran Turismo 4 is kinda realistic if you use the N3 (front) and N2 (rear) tires .
