Hey, sorry for not making a blog post in a while.
Firstly, happy new year!
Secondly, I've also managed to get the home server up and running! (Using Ubuntu, since windows 10 doesn't play nice with 7 even if password protected sharing is off on both PCs)
The server is really just a network folder right now (Named "Xen", based on how it's a sort of "borderworld" between the PCs on our network) and only PCs running Vista or later (or those that can connect to SMB Shares/support workgroups with spaces in the name) can connect and access the folder.
Thirdly, I've been trying to make my laptop into a hackintosh for about a week straight with no success. I have all the files I need, but I'm still missing one key component. I need an existing (preferably Intel-based) Macintosh/Hackintosh. I've already tried making VMs, NONE of them worked.
(though every PC in the house minus the laptop is AMD based, after all..) And the book store won't let me use any of their Macs (they're M1 anyway, but I would've taken what I could've gotten if they were an actually good bookstore
)
Unless someone knows how to make a snow leopard install USB without disk utility and netbook boot maker, I am in desperate need of a mac.
Do YOU have a Mac? Then give me a little while to prepare some instructions for you (you'll need a USB drive, your intel mac, and another PC running windows, though if all you have is your intel mac, use Bootcamp to dual-boot a version of Windows) so that I can get a .img of the finished installer drive, and then flash that to one of my drives. If you help me, (in any way, honestly) I'll be eternally grateful.
(also I'm still sorry about the lack of art, just haven't felt like having to clean up my DA lately which I gotta do before I can post the rest of the old MS paint art here)
