Whats up with Today's Cartoons?

Is random really that popular? I swear, I watched some new show Cartoon Network has been showing for a few minutes. Its called "Adventure Time".
I just flipped the show on and here is some yellow dude all mangled up in a hospital bed with the sign "You smell like Dog buns" beside him. WTF are they feeding kids these days? :wtf: Theres is even a show called "The Random Show". And guess what? Its just a bunch of random nonsense. Who would have guessed that??? The fact that kids enjoy this stuff sickens me. Anyone else agree that stuff kids watch these days is garbage?

Are you kidding? Adventure Time is one of the stupidest and funniest modern cartoons there is. Same goes for Chowder.

It's shorta hit and miss. Adventure Time seems decent, while others are absolute crap.

I lol'd. Is there any plot to that show? From what I saw it was peanut butter sandwiches running around in circles making fun of someone!

nostalgia is a powerful thing, ed, edd, & eddy was an incredibly stupid show, same with billy & mandy, codename kids next door, etc.

(except Courage the Cowardly Dog, which was awesome)

Have you ever SEEN a cartoon before?
These aren't anime, 80% of cartoons don't follow a story, and they're usually better for it (Excluding Reboot...off the top of my head. Faaantastic and followed a story).

The oldies will remain the best in my eyes. I can't stand any newer cartoons. If I wanna watch cartoons, I just download another series from my childhood.

Okay don't get me wrong I enjoy some of today's show but no as nearly as much as the old one's I'm 15 and I still watch the first transformers because even if its outdated it's still 100x (IMO) than any show out right now.

I wouldn't have made a topic about cartoons if I didn't thoroughly enjoy them in my childhood. I grew up watching Rocko's Modern Life, Angry Beavers, Dexter's Lab, Johnny Bravo (Stupid, I know) and Rocket Power. Rocket Power FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!1111one11!!!
I thoroughly enjoy "Regular Show" and "Adventure Time". Come at me bro.
You are entitled to your own opinion, I for one, just find these shows incredibly stupid. Hey, maybe the shows I watched when I was a youngster were stupid. I am just blinded by nostalgia.

There are sadly only a few shows that fall out of this "random" spectrum, though. Like Samurai Jack. And Samurai Jack kicked major butt.

And you're definitely right: the ones from my age as a kid are long gone..... Goodness, that makes me feel old

The way you spell and uphold a "!!11~~one<eleventlyone!!11" leetness sure shows off how much cartoons grew on you, mate. :D

It would more likely appear you grew up on the internets. xD

LAST EDIT:

Yeah, the above is being entirely serious: Much like yourself, I grew up on virtually the same cartoons. I mockingly sympathize.

On a side note, Chowder, Regular Show, Adventure Time, and Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack are all of CN I'll watch. I used to watch Spongebob, but the only moderately interesting recent episode I found was "trenchbillies". Aside from that, my HD has all of Rocko, Rugrats, Invader Zim, Code Monkeys, Megaman NT Warrior, KaBlam!, Angela Anaconda :creep:, Megaman Axxes, and more to be downloaded later, that I can handle. :yay: I prefer downloading episodes though, I hate commercials. :glare: NO I don't have DVR. Now to figure out what else is a good series....
