Whats cookin, good lookin?

Blog!

Got my tb test today (at the expense of being late to psychology)...well find out my status Friday! Yaaaaayyy!!!

And my headphones broke, gonna have to borrow a pair from someone...but it made me realize that my bike is reeally loud...also gears 1-4 don't work (out of six). I need a new one...I guess ill just save up! Maybe ill get a road/hybrid bike this time - I never really go off-road, so a mountain bike seems kinda silly (it gets the job done, though).

Yeah, my current bike is a walmart huffy from about 10 years ago - they're not really made to last that long.

So whatsup with you sexy people?!

I'm looking for a new hybrid bike too. You can never have too many bikes. You'll really feel the difference on the roads when you make the switch from a mountain bike. It'll be smooth sailing...and you might not miss your class.

Haha you have the same philosophy as my dad did when he was around - the more bikes the better!

Yeah, but I think any bike would feel like smooth sailing compared to my hunk o junk...but that's not why I was late xD! It was because my TB test and my class both started at noon.

A wise man once advised me that the bicycle is a superior form of human transportation. Your huffy lasted you ten years thats more than the average motor vehicle lasts with one owner, purchase a quality bike this time and commit to using it.

Well it does have its benefits - health, enjoyment, traffic, etc., but energy is debatable. I forget where I read it, but I read that if meat is a large part of your diet, then biking actually uses more fuel than a car (through killing/transporting/etc the animal). If you don't eat meat, its actually more energy efficient than walking!

I will get a quality bike, and I already commit to using it xD! Just got to save up money...

Also: when I do get a new one, any ideas how to get rid of my old bike? Broken, 10 years old, and $50 at new, selling doesn't seem too viable.

There are usually engineers around that will collect it and reuse the parts to build other bikes, they may not give you anything for it though.

I need a bike as well. I have about $140 (well I did until I spent some money at Baskin Robbins and at a liquor store...I wanted some apple pucker :P) right now, my dad said I need to save up for a bike or a car...but I have a fear of driving so a bike it is...even though I haven't used one in like 10 years so I don't quite remember how to balance on it...I need the weight loss anyway and it's starting to cool down so I'm considering one.

Cycling is my main form of exercise. It's a great way to lose weight, just push some longer rides and you'll notice a difference. With a mountain bike you'll get a better workout as they are generally less efficient than road/hybrid bikes, but you can obviously go further in less time on a faster road bike.

When I owned my pizza place many years ago, we didn't have a cash register at all, every employee was given a "bank" of small bills at start of shift. Then everyone pocketed the money and made change, and I'd cash everyone out at end of shift. One time we had a gunman come in to rob me and wanted to know where's the cash register. I told him we don't take cash, only credit, and he left with nothing. Cops caught him even.

My wifeys aunt gave her some gold coins in her will when she passed last year, and the tax man was gonna tax her a gift tax on it, but our accountant said if she sells the gold and put that money into a 5 year CD, it will be untaxable. So she did, and now IRS saying they want a income tax on the gold coin sale. Damn taxman always greedy.
