LOLz. You got YouTubed :rofl2:

Seriously. Most Social/Streaming sites(at least popular ones) nowadays will automatically Facepalm anything that appears to infringe copyrighted material for fear of getting sued by the copyright holder.

Try looking up the fair use argument:

G
you gotta state the rights for the company that made the game and nintendo

SRSLY. What are the things I infringed aside from the 2 Nintendo DSi, the game RHYTHM HEAVEN and the Song "Love Ooh Ooh Paradise"?

Facebook certainly made a mistake.

In Youtube, Im not allowed to uploade any music from Jaci Velasquez but ironically, I didnt have any notice from Facebook when I uploaded the song "IMAGINE ME WITHOUT YOU" by Jaci Velasquez used as the birthday dance of my friend she performed

This video didnt have any clips or sounds that are copyrighted aside from the soundtrack and/or game.

Just a quick question (not to take over your thread or anything): Does gameplay videos count as copyright infringement?

In both Youtube and Facebook, I made a 1 minute video lip synching with the song "EH EH (NOTHING TO SAY)" by Lady GaGa.I didnt had any notice from Facebook nor Youtube but this 27 second video has been cited by Facebook for copyright infringement when the fact that it's only a game for 27 seconds.

In youtube, I made videos with my NIntendo DSi appearing and the game. I even have the full version of songs in Ouendan in my Nintendo DSi and I was not cited by Youtube.

Facebook is a private website and cannot be access by anyone who's watching my videos. What the hell is going on here?

WHAT THE FUCK?!!

Since I live in the Philippines, I expect to have calls from the US IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT if they decided to call my phone.

You sure cry a lot, Go stick your dick in a toaster if you really need something to cry about.

I know you think you are special because some girl touched your DSi, but you are not. Get over yourself :)

nice work now hes probably gonna cry loader

Facebook is a Social Website. Just because you log-in and have a "Friends Only" list does not make content you put on it private. There is nothing private on the Internet, just obscure.

The fact that Facebook is a Private Corporation makes them liable for possibly copyright infringing material to be found within their site. This means any copyrighted material. It is basically the site admins call.

By agruing fair use or citing the copyright holders this gives you and them legal leeway in avoiding getting annoyance lawsuits(or threats of) over displaying or directly referring to copyrighted material.

Did you read the Fair Use article? It's probably one of the things the Facebook admins guidelines are based on.

I lol'd but srsly Banger...

lolumad?

Anyway Chris, I think it was most likely some type of administrative personal with a strict discipline to copyright laws trying to do their job. I personally don't see the reason in removing the video other than an admin playing close to the book, but meh.

Im just saying that why Facebook didnt cited my in my previous videos when the fact I dont have any copyrighted videos or sounds in my videos.

Youtube is a more strict than Facebook, IMHO, but I find it bizzare that my latest uplaoad got attention by Facebook when there's a possible ones in my previous uploads.

My friend uploaded a video containing the song "The Show" by Lenka. Why didnt Facebook cited that instead?

This is one bizzare case

and dont flame me as Im not flaming you

Can people answer this one?

As fas as I read the FAIR USE, I only used a small amount of the work but in Facebook's Terms Im only limited or Im not allowed to post copyrighted videos or sounds.

What are the copyright videos and/or sounds in my video? This is a gameplay and Im not profiting here

I would like to email Facebook regarding this issue to clear things up.

Anyone know their email address?

Dam....

Facebooks email = [email protected]? XD

A: lol, you use that failbook thing...
B: lol, overreaction
C: Have you ever given thought that this might have been done out of paranoia or by accident? Whoever removed it is only human, not everyone is perfect. This incident could have been one of these rare and unfortunate incidents. So chill out.

It's not that you are gaining any profit; part of the uses of having a copyright is control over how your copryrighted material is protrayed.

As we do not have the line-by-line guidelines on how the Facebook site admins judge material it all boils down to what Martin said(getting a tag error on brackets). Most Play(LetsPlay) videos I've seen on the 'net contain some sort of nod to the copyright holder to avoid the situation you came across.

I remember the Nostalgia Critic complaining about the same thing happening to his early YouTube videos since YT began copyright sweeping their site.

It's one of the many ways people cover their arse and be able to finger point somebody else. Just roll with it.

Edit: ooops typo

I already know that this may be a mistake but im still intrigued to why this 27 second video clip has been cited when I have 4 minutes of videos containg commercial songs and some of them are NOT ALLOWED in Youtube.

Thank you for your comments.

Take note: I asked for your comments and not flame me.

I know the situation and I looked at it a million times

I know this might be a mistake and like I said, I filed a counter affidavid but I wuold like to discuss with Facebook regarding this as my account is very important to my friends and relatives

I already filed a counter affidavid and the video is now online. I just want your opinions about this strange and bizzare case

I know the feeling, my Youtube account has been butt-raeped by Google. My account used to have a lot of Frets on Fire vids on it (with a good few mistakes thrown in) they've all been taken down for copyright reasons and now ANY video I put up is instantly checked for copyright by Google. Can't put up Tenacious D Kickapoo played on Audiosurf desptie the fact that a friends account has the same song on a fan music video and it hasn't been taken down yet. I know I am copyright infringing (as if anybody would download a youtube video to listen to -_-) but I hate being 1 person in millions of similar cases who gets his videos taken down.
Just a quick question (not to take over your thread or anything): Does gameplay videos count as copyright infringement?
Yes they do, as well as character art and manual scans, but most game companies won't pursue it. Some will but others see it as free advertising so it depends on the company's view on it, though the details may differ depending on what country you or the rights holder are in. Some think it's daft to penalise your fanbase. I think there's an exception for reporting, like in blogs, news articles or reviews but don't quote me on that. At the end of the day the rights holder has the final say; if they want it off youtube, it comes off.
