what if...

What if someone told you that we have all been brought into existence 5 minutes ago with all of our memories intact, like they formed with us when we started existing? How do you prove them wrong?
What if thats true?
Im going to believe that till someone here proves to me that i didnt just start existing 5 minutes ago.
Someone help!

EDIT heres my answer so far:
Ok heres where i have arrived at.

Physical objects cant be trusted because they can all be forged to look like i have always had them.
This is a metaphysical argument we are dealing with.
There are 2 ways we have to "know" something.
A priori: is knowledge through logic and
A posterior: knowledge through experience.
the first problem is that both of those have been forged in this 5 minute old world.

So i would have to raise the question: how can one arrive at the conclusion that the world was created 5 minutes ago without having anything that is physical to point at?

Here is an example: A man exploring the jungle stumbles onto a group of cannibals..They tell him that before they kill someone they let them make one statement. If its true, he gets hung, if the statement is false, he gets boiled. How does he leave unharmed?

he says "i will die by hanging"

basically "this sentence is false"
Pinocho: "my nose will now grow"

to make this clearer, basically the world that has been created is one that is true and false at the same time.
So you have created a world that is designed to be deceptive, so you have no truth.
But we are not done yet.
Because the that statement is true, there has to be some truth somewhere, so that would mean that i am not perceiving the world at my full senses.

But because my professor is part of the "hallucinogenic" reality, i cannot accept his statement because of the fact that he is part of the world that was created to deceit me.

Its a self defeating reality. If i accept his reality, i cant fully accept his reality.

REDUCTO ABSURDO.

soooooooo
If what he is saying is true, then he has nothing to teach me.
Can i haz an A?
I can't prove you wrong, but I can prove that you thought too much into this.

Perception is everything. Just carry one, regardless.
We aliens have been watching over you for 5 minutes, You finally cracked the code.
Your name is Josh. You may now die and come back to the real world. OH and take the red pill k? ;)

K. Someone stole my brains.
It was you, you have stolen my idea of that we were created 5 minutes ago. (or changed lives with someone else. But you never knew you were the other person because you have the memories of the 'new you')

Don't steal. It's bad.

Also, say, you're walking on the pavement. You see some grass. It's green. But, how do you prove it's the same green as all people see? Your green might be purple in someone else's 'world' I would provide you with a picture where grass is purple. And you'd think that's at least a bit strange. But that's not when you grew up with everybody telling you it's green. So it's normal.
Prove that others don't see different colours than you do.

Also, prove that I'm not a super intelligent AI. Now. Prove it.

These theories are impossible to tackle. We won't be able to answer those without super advanced technology like full acces to the brains, time travel, shapeshifting and last but not least, total space control. I guess that'll take another 5000 years.

Prepare to not get an A.

The odds of everyone's memory being linked to that of everyone else would calculate to near, if not fully impossible.

This. Also, he said nothing about physical structures. If they exist, we made them.

Where is bluestar when i need him.

Anyways yeah this is good. looks like i might have to back him into a corner instead of giving him hard evidence that hes wrong. But keep em coming this is good.

So far we have:
1. Odds of everyones memories being linked is near 0.
2. Phyiscal structures.

Also what about photos and other memorabilia? I dont remember being born or what not but there are pictures...
and if we just "came into being" where did all the worlds buildings/bridges/cars/technology and other things come from? There has to be an outside source as well.

Yeah he's probably gonna counter you with that fabrication bullshit and probably bring up something like the Truman Show as an example.

Yeah thats what im worried about.
In most situations its easier to prove something right (like this theory) rather than wrong.

Its like someone saying, "there is gold in china" and you take on a substantially harder argument of saying "there is NO gold in china" All it takes to shut you down is that one guy with a gold tooth filling :(

But how could something from the past (AKA: before existence) be used as evidence to support this argument?

Wait what?

I mentioned the Truman Show for its scenario on how well his life could be fabricated; I never said he'd bring it up as evidence that life actually is fabricated.
