This week has been pretty fun and tough overall.
On monday, i had my highway code test and i managed to score 47 out of 50 which meant that i passed by 2
We had our first circuit driving as well. Driving a real car was a lot easier than a stimulator since i could feel the biting point more accurately and the controls respond more easily to me. Unfortunately, according to my instructor, i was his worst student in his career. That bit really gotten to me and i was feeling depressed, especially since he did not shout or did he even raise his noise, he just said that in his normal tone which made the impact all the more worse.
On Tuesday, we started on learning about highway situation, it was pretty fun, playing with cars and boring, since we had to start saying everything, for eg, making a right turn, we had to say from slowing down to checking mirrors and to checking traffic condition all the way from prior to the stop line, all the way to the right exit. Just to make a right turn, we had to talk alot.
Next, in the afternoon, we had our circuit driving 2 again. While the others are in the inner lane, i was in the outer lane, practicing my steering and turning, this time round, he did not guide me along as much, so i was able to see for myself, what were my mistakes and what i have to improved on. We had parking lessons as well, unfortunately, throughout the entire week, i didnt get to practice since most of the time, my partner took out a huge chunk of the time allocated to us, so u could say i am still a newbie at parking, except backward and reverse parking, that i did do once.
On Wednesday, i was away in the morning at the medical center, i was following my course manager's instruction to report sick, unfortunately, i had misinterpreted his instructions. His instruction was for me to report sick and only after i had seen the medical officer was i to show him/her the letter stating my specialist appointment. But i interpreted it as going to the medical center and showing them the letter. So, all i got was a medical review.
Anyway, after wasting time, i went back to the training, i was there for the simulator which we had to do some S course, crank course and tri-directional turn.
In the afternoon, i was back in the circuit. This time, we were taught the right reverse parking. This time round, my instructor bought me to the inner lane where i get to try the S course, the crank course and the hill.
On thursday, we had highway situation in the morning and we also have another simulator. This time round, there are 2 issues that we have to keep in mind, low fuel and high coolant temperature. Anyway, in the afternoon, my instructor has finally allowed me to reach the 3rd gear
I was allowed to make bigger turning as well, hurray
Anyway, we were taught the left reversal parking, but as usual, i didnt get to do it. Those who did drive in the 1st half, they were told to do their driving assessment.
Friday
Happy Hari Raya to u guys, even if it's a day late
Anyway, now i am a stay-in personnel, which meant that i be living in camp, which isnt as bad as those out there might think. Since i am a private and not a recruit anymore, i have more freedom, after our lessons are done, i get to walk anywhere i want. So, for the past few days, i have been walking to the arcade and playing marvel vs capcom.
For now, the things that i need to figure out would be how to park and what to do after i found the biting point of the car.
Things for me to note would be i got to buy a disinfectant as soon as possible, the bunk condition in the room is horrible, the bedsheets are dirty, the room is dusty, i missed bmt clean room condition.
