Nice review! I found myself staring at your Flowerbox screen saver though... I haven't see that in years!

Also, there was a Kiss song on Guitar Hero 3, and you said this was the first time for a Kiss song. But still good review!

Also said about Stevie Ray Vaughan: "finally, he's being honored in a Guitar Hero game". His song Texas Flood, was in the first game on the PS2. And then Pride and Joy, the one featured in On Tour, was in GHIII too.

Anyway, nice review.

What kiss song was in GH 3 i dont remeamber.

Great review. I had the choice between Rock band WII and guitar hero DS the other day....I only went with rockband because my brother and I really needed a multiplayer for the WII

But watching your review makes me think I really should pick up guitar hero DS some day...

Great review man....I'll say it once more, damn you talk much...But it's good, I haven't felt bored watching it, and it did made me want to buy it more than before..

You said that you paid 50 dollars for 25/26 mp3's. I am not sure that they used mp3 compression for the game. I A-B tested a mp3 of Twisted Sister on moonshell and the same song in the game, and the audio quality of a regular 128 kbs mp3 sounded much better.

In the IGN preview the developers mentioned that they had to use all kinds of "filters" on the audio tracks to make them sound decent in the game. This suggests to me that they used some other type of audio format, as mp3's sound fine without filters. Maybe the DS doesn't have enough processing grunt to decode mp3's and render the graphics simultaneously?

Its a good sound quality so what if it is not mp3, it is just about the same. no reason to gripe over small details.
