I saw a trailer for a new South Park game recently. I sincerely hope it's nothing like the freemium games that they dedicated a whole episode to mocking a couple of seasons ago
Usually every mobile game is a reskin of x game.
It's annoying as hell and it's fairly easy to swap assets.
Like, how I see 50 clones of Mobile Strike and other P2W games. This shit sells and those morons are jumping onto "the clone" train.
@Futurdreamz my phone has 8 cores. Why can't it play something fun with one? Sure I could use emulators, but that's not how the industry should move forward.
@Vipera
Most apps are single-core or dual-core. Hardly even any apps use quad-core or octa-core.
Cores don't matter, Single Core Performance matters more.
@Vipera here's the thing, it can. However actually using the full power of your phone is a major strain which can kill your entire battery within an hour, I'm being serious. That is really not good if you use your phone to call people and completely defeats the whole point of carrying a phone for most people.
Plus there's the whole stigma of phone games; nobody will pay $20 for a really good phone game, and statistically only a smaller fraction of free-to-start players realistically pay more than $20 for in-game purchases.
