Vancouver is being rioted

Yeah, after the Vancouver Canucks lost the Stanley Cup to the Boston Bruins, some fans went on a riot, and now the players and coaches of both teams are locked in the arena.

And all the channels have "breaking news" and showing coverage. London Drugs, Sears, a book store, some fancy clothing place, and other electronic places were all looted. Some people were stabbed and shit.

This makes all of British Columbia look bad. I knew there was going to be a riot if the Canucks lost, but this is just insane. Vancouver Police and other cities police are all in Vancouver. Cop cars have been torched and shit. Here's a shot of a guy getting a flashbang grenade to the nuts.

I was watching a live stream for over an hour. It apparently started just after 8pm PST, and is still going at nearly 12am PST.

It started during the game. The big tv they have that CBC and the city provided for the fans to watch outside, fans broke that. It's unbelievable.

Luckily she got out before all of it happened. We told her when there was 10 minutes left in the game, to start leaving.
I saw footage of the fans starting to break the TV. This much rage over hockey, it's hard to understand.
It's weird, we have the B.C. Lions, and the Vancouver Canucks as our main sports, yet we don't care much for the CFL, it's just Hockey that Vancouver loves. This is just ridiculous though, it makes every single one of us Canuck fans look bad.

It's kinda like when LA Laker fans went on a riot after the Lakers won the NBA Championship title. The only difference is that the fans went on a riot even though they won.

But no flashbang to the nuts. That, was classic.

I just watch on TV, never watch it in person. But even then, I thought after how Vancouver was with the Winter Olympics and winning gold and the Gold Medal Hockey game, that Vancouver at least had more... iono, intelligence?

Sports can turn the most intelligent, sane person into a raging lunatic.

Apparently it was mostly just young kids who were trying to be "cool". Some people are saying that people bought vehicles specifically to torch them. Bought them, drove them there, then whether the Canucks won or not, those vehicles were being torched.

Wow, Vancouver people must have a lot of money. I've never heard of Saskatchewan people doing something even remotely this insane over the Riders.

The video has been removed.
Luckily, I saw it before it was removed.
This is just plain sad.....
Don't they have anything worthwhile to fight over?

This is a complete waste of energy.
When it comes to sports and this province, either cheer and root for the Canucks, or get the fuck out because you will get harassed. It's bad, but when the whole city is cheering together, there really is no other city that comes close to being as energetic as Vancouver.

Not really, you can easily get a dinger of a car for just 500 or less. Considering tickets for each game was around the 500 dollar mark, I'm sure a little shitmobile is nothing to worry about.

This is quite sad.
This comic sums it up quite nicely,

Although the game was disappointing, that is no reason to riot.

"Aww, our team lost....LET'S BREAK SHIT CAUSE WE LOST."

Seriously, this is why I never liked sports.

Speaking of meatballs, what's the deal with meatball sandwich? How can people eat those? It's ROUND. Trying to bite those in a sandwich is a challenge. It's easier to eat a burger stacked with toppings. :ninja:
