Treeki: New Editor in the Works.

Treeki, after confirming that he had no plans to continue work on NSMBe3 (his now dead editor project), confirmed that he was working on a completely new project Saying:

“I’m already working on a new editor, as well, which is why I haven’t been active for a few days. It’s not being worked on too quickly (I have a lot of other projects that need to be finished as well) but hopefully I can get it done soon. It’s also got a new twist which makes it a lot more powerful.
Expect me to post more about it in a few days. :P”

After some discussion he then went into detail in a later post:

“Anyway, I might as well say what I’m doing-
I’m creating a generic DS editor, somewhat similar to Tahaxan and others. However, it will support plugins. This means you can load any game and it will show all the relevant plugins.
For example, load something stupid like 25-in-1 Generic Board Games No One Cares About, and you’ll only see generic plugins like a file explorer (Nitro Explorer replacement) but load NSMB for example, and if you have the correct plugins, you will see a list for editors on it (in addition to the generic plugins).
It will be extensible using C# or any of the .NET languages, and it will also provide things to make editor development using it easier, like a ROM handling API (files and such).
It might seem a bit overkill at first, but it will make this much easier to write later on.”

All I know is that it’s a big project. It should work with every released DS game and can be built on to edit said games. THIS IS NOT JUST AN EDITOR FOR NSMB. I do believe that the tools for NSMB editing will be included along with new features not seen in NSMBe2.

More to come as I try to contact Treeki.
