Thinking of streaming on Twitch

@Lilith Valentine seems to like streaming and they're quite fun to watch too.

Oh, everyone sucks at video games. Nobody cares, just do whatever you want. The REAL problem with streaming on Twitch is that it takes forever for anyone to watch. It seems like it's so much fun, but you end up wondering why you've even bothered in the first place. Oh well, I'm sure it'll get fine soon enough! You should try it!

Twitch isn't worth the potential swatting risk, dealing with a world that's becoming more SJW and anti-free speech, and the problems that overall just come with money being involved in any sort of entertainment endeavor.

Why not try Parsec out if you're feeling lonely? It's so good that Maximilian Dood himself crowned it (along with Granblue Fantasy Versus as it was the only brand new fighting game that came out last year) one of the best things to happen to fighting games last year, along with Japanese FG devs starting to take adoption of rollback netcode more seriously than ever. I can personally attest to trying it out with someone when playing Mortal Kombat X who wasn't as intimate with the controls as I was (or so he/she said) beating me once or twice when I first tried it out, and playing other fighting games with an older brother of mine who also had a good enough fighting chance to knock me out...whenever we were playing a fighting game he was more familiar with.

You can have a shitty PC, but if you join someone else's game, you can play the game as if you had access to it. I personally think it's worth giving a shot and seeing how much mileage you can get!

My honest advice is just lean into things. If you aren’t good at gaming, just have fun and lean into that. If you make mistakes, that’s ok, just roll with it and have fun. Thus far, most people playfully tease me about being bad at BOTW, but that’s something I invite and even get myself involved in. Why? Because it’s not about being good or bad at the game, it’s about having fun gaming and interacting with your audience. I also suggest going into it with the reasonable explanations and enjoy the viewers you get. You also don’t have to put up with anyone who is actually being a dick, you are free to ban them. Still, I find streaming to be fun and the interaction with the community we are building is what really makes it fun. Also, boob asmr

Yeah, don't. Twitch, from what I hear, is quite elitist and hostile to smaller streamers, not to mention increasingly submissive to "Progressive" destructive ideologies.

I'd suggest staying the hell away from that cesspool, if at all possible.

@Scott_pilgrim Haven't watched the video, and based on the comments to the video, I doubt I'll be watching it anytime soon, as videos like these and others where you have e-celebrity deathmatches online over social media demonstrate the problem with putting content out on the Internet in general.

About the only YTber who avoids drama like that is James Rolfe, and even then, it isn't like there's no drama; James just seems to be very good at handling things in a way to where they won't explode in his face and the views he still gets for AVGN vids, even if he's long passed his peak, and is just phoning it in at this point. It's the same issue even with IRL celebrities; people stalk you even on the streets for signatures like in this video:



You can't have a private life once you hit it big. Some people don't care about being in the limelight like Donald Trump. Love him or hate him, you know that when people are still wanting him back as president of the US, and his videos get more views and likes on YouTube than Joe Biden's, it makes you wonder who's really the more popular candidate.
