thinking about getting a 3ds with these games.

Pilotwings Resort (Nintendo)
Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition (CAPCOM)
Ridge Racer 3D (NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc.)
Super Monkey Ball 3D (SEGA)
Bust-A-Move Universe (Square-Enix, Inc.)
Samurai Warriors: Chronicles (TECMO KOEI AMERICA Corp.)
Rayman 3D (UBISOFT)

but does anyone know how much each game cost?

and hopefully these games will have online play.

let me know what you guys think.

depends on my birthday money i get also.

Most games are 40$.
SSFIV3DE will have online play, not sure about the other games.
You can check Amazon for prices.

I'll only be getting SSFIV3DE with my 3DS, nothing else really interests me.
Rayman 3D should be good, but I already played the crap out of Rayman 2 long ago.

was Rayman 3D on the DS launch list? casue in 2004 i rember seeing that... so i may erase rayman 3d from the list i'll look a little bit more for info thanks for the tip btw.

Rayman DS was released in March, 2005 in every region (except Japan). It was a part of the European launch.
Rayman 2 is available for Nintendo 64, Windows, Dreamcast, PlayStation, PlayStation 2, Game Boy Color, Nintendo DS, PlayStation Network, iOS and now the 3DS.
Every version has something different, but I don't know what's different in every version. You can check Wikipedia for that.

As for other games, Pilotwings just seems a bit boring to me, but I might change my mind after launch, hopefully there would be a demo for me to check out.

Ridge Racer 3D doesn't interest me, I'm not into racers. (But I do hope there will be a demo available, I'd like to see the scenery in 3D.)

I never really liked Monkey Ball, it's an OK game, but I mostly played the PS2 and Wii ones for the minigames when having friends over.

Bust-A-Move doesn't seem fit for retail in my eyes, seems like it should have been a downloadable game.

Samurai Warriors seems pretty cool, but if it's anything like Sengoku Basra that'll be disappointing, that was too easy, the enemies just stood there and did nothing. I'll wait for videos and maybe a demo for this one.

Personally my choices are most likely to as follows, picked up as and when my rather feeble budget allows.

- Nintendogs. Call me sad all you want, I can't afford a real husky pup right now so this will have to do. Besides, it makes decent use of the facilities, notably the AR system. It's also a good game to play with my nephew.

- Pilotwings, assuming it's not the sort of game I can finish in an afternoon. Needs my flyin' fix. Although this can be bypassed by somehow finding the effort to set up my PS2 and going on a rather epic Ace Combat binge.

- DOA Dimensions, but not until I've played it at length on the demo model to see if I can improve at the series. I always sucked at DOA (and fighting games in general to be honest, as my recent ill-fated ventures online in MVC3 proved in great detail) but I wish to improve. Having access to it at all times would help. Besides, finding a working copy of DOA4 around here is nigh impossible.

- The more I see of it, the more Samurai Warriors Chronicles seems to catch my eye. It's certainly one I'll be wanting to investigate further on Monday when GAME's media blackout ends and I can mess about with the test model again. It seems like the sort of game that's best picked up a little lower than retail price as I suspect the gameplay will be fairly button mashy and thus get old fairly quick. But then I loved a game very similar called Mystic Heroes on my Gamecube. If it's like that then it's a must buy.

- Possibly Ridge Racer, but again that's more a title I'd be inclined to pick up reduced.

Aside from that I imagine most of my money will be saved towards either my replacement passport to go finally visit Sian, putting a bit of a 'nest egg' behind me, paying my bills, saving up to buy this...

or saving towards better games like Zelda, Kid Icarus, etc.

They're somewhat similar, but it's a lot more like Dynasty Warriors which improved it's AI over time (Especially Dynasty Warriors 4, my favorite one).

im not sure about all those games, I would only buy 1-2 games listed

if your just buying almost all the games because they are the only ones out then just wait and save your money

my money got cut for some odd reason and i would only buy the 3ds for ssf4 3D but i all ready got SSF4 for ps3 so it's not worth it i'm going wait i guess.

@K3Nv2 I got some cheapies at wallys, that are pretty good, already have lost a few expensive ones (one falls out and gone, can't find) while cutting grass so bought some cheap ones, and of course never lose these cheap ones. (Cheap meaning only $35, compared to air buds which I only have 1 of 2 now)
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
They need to add air tags to they airbuds..
