I was hoping for the $249.99 rumors to be true. But shit, it's the same price as a fucking Wii U brand new. Seems unfair.

Be patient at this price point it will tank. $250 not a penny more. Its a glorified handheld with TV output via the dock. Wonder when Wii Fit U Switch will come out. I'm so hyped.

Given the hardware, what it's capable of and the games at launch, that's a damn good price, people need to stop getting their undies in a twist XD

No thanks, I want a verified lineup of great titles before they get a dime from me this round. I have a feeling it will be 3+ years before I own one (if I ever own one) and by that point it should be $199.99. Just really not seeing value for a couple of first party titles.

I am honestly pretty pumped for this system and I really don't mind the price. They could have easily slapped a higher price label on it and didn't.

Wait for more info to be released is precisely my intent. The Wii U had some great titles, but the wait between them was ridiculous and was part of the reason for the systems demise. Thank god for the hacking scene, at least they sold a few more hardware units.

Just remember, wii u deluxe at launch was $350, and i was there at gamestop sunday november 18 2012 at 10 am to pick it up. I'm a bit okay about the lower price especially for how much they are offering in terms of the console. I paid $300 for my NVIDIA shield devices so.... yeah.

I waited and got the Mario and Luigi U bundle with a copy of Mario Kart 8 for $260. Before it got hacked I really didn't play it much.

The problem here was the reports suggesting it'd cost less than it does and that's what people are annoyed with. If you check out the Nintendo Switch deal thread here there's definitely a lot of unhappy customers.

Still, pre-ordered it just to be on the safe side of getting it.

canada and us, you're paying the same. europe does pay a few bucks extra after taxes are applied, but its not a world of difference

australia is actually the only one getting fucked here because their money and canadas is pretty much identically in worth, yet they pay 470 instead of 400

also, all you guys, you might want to be aware that your investment early on ensures that 3rd parties and others will want to invest in this console too. you can call early adopters stupid all you want, but they're the ones that make sure you get a big library of games once you finally drop a few measly bucks on these consoles.

no 'I'll buy it in 3 years for minimum cash if there's a lot of games'. there won't be. if everyone does that, you will have exactly the same situation as with the wii u.
only difference is this time, the 3rd parties are seemingly on board for the first round.
if you idiots don't reward that with hardware sales, you might as well never play nintendo again. because they're not going to do it again for the switch II. nintendo could easily make 2 or 3 more flop consoles, but if this one doesn't end up being a hit, say goodbye to third parties and a game library on nintendo consoles today.
