I went and ordered 2 new gundam kits. An MG Unicorn and a HG Seven Sword Exia. i was pretty torn between getting the exia or a rezel - this one or this one. but decided to get the exia instead. should be here within the next week. half priced EMS shipping fuck yeah. not bad for $85, the local store i buy my kits from doesn't even stock the rezel/seven sword exia. they do stock an MG unicorn, buts its the katoki version and costs $83. the one i ordered was redesigned for the Unicorn ova.
since its this week and the 2nd of half last week has been my easter break. i've doing a whole lot of nothing. I've started playing fragile - its nothing great yet besides how pretty the game looks for the wii. i've been going through a fair few ongoing manga. a few that i'd recommend would be Ikigami, Gamble Fish and Kuroko no basket.
Ikigami is about a system that was set up in japan, where 6 year olds are injected with a "vaccination" for a rare disaese, but within that vaccination, there is a small chance that there is a nanomachine that is programmed to cling to a vein/artery near your heart, and after a pre-set time will explode and kill the person. The system is setup so that people living in japan make the most of their lives, fearing that one day they might recieve an ikigami confirming that they have one of these nanomachines. the story so far pretty much details a worker whose job is to give the ikigami to these people and what the people do with their lives after they recieve it.
Gamble fish- as the name implies is about gambling. the main character goes to a school for the elite of japan, wanting to win 10billion yen off the entire school via gambles. very shounen-ish, but interesting read.
Kuroko no basket, another series under the belt of "shounen". its basketball. but instead of your typical shounen where there are fillers, training camps and everyonce inawhile some pretty cool fights. Kuroko no basket is purely those action scenes. in fact all the chapters so far have been either in a practice match, or an actual match against another school or person - besides one or two where one of the main characters had to pass his classes to play a final, so they were spent with him trying to study with the rest of the team teaching him.
