So I'm here, at GBAtemp.net, nice place I conclude, how do I tell anyone else about it?
Most places carefully guard their membership. The last thing they want to do (normally), is give "the other guy" any assistance in stealing their members.
Members = posting activity = attention = advertising bucks (in some cases).
I have a modest personal forum. The trick is how do I let everyone know?
I belong to more than one forum community on the internet. I like them all for their individual unique qualities. And they are not always gaming forums, or private forums or even forums. Some are blog locations, some are just company web sites (that don't do the forum thing), some are popular locations like ****book and **space
And they all basically have more or less the same rules (even if written out differently).
Currently it seems the old saying "if you want something done, you gotta do it yourself" applies here. Or in other words, I guess I could just post all the links here in my blog, and just explain what they are for and let others just go or not based on their own level of interest. Or I could post a link to my forum and then spill the beans there (it being MY forum there I can essentially do what I want there).
I'll probably begin with a blog posting here, listing all my fav destinations first. I can take it for granted GBAtemp gets more visitors than my forum does
