I've always been more open to discussing health issues since I got older, when I was younger not so much. Insurance is one of the biggest issues in many countries and why most can't get the help they deserve. If you have the option do it, don't wait around on what could be wrong.
Doctors go to school for this stuff for a reason. Just because you think you have an itch don't go seeking advice on reddit or other bigger social media platforms that may put uneducated fear in your mind that might not even be related. In 2024 we should have no reason to not seek medical care. No one should shame you for seeking advice from a primary care, dentist, or a psychiatrist. If they do there are many others out there struggling with conditions that might be related to yours. No matter how big the internet is face to face conversations about your problems will always be more beneficial.
Recently, I've been undergoing multiple care. Nothing that's considered terminal but more so getting in the way of my daily life wants. It's a slow process but answers are out there. I'm lucky to have insurance and I told myself I have all these benefits a average person might not have so I'm going to utilize them as much as I can.
A few diagnoses have been found regarding my profile.
- Essential tremor, much like Parkinsons which my doctors are running genetic tests to rule it out. It's a shaking issue in the hands. A genetic test has been done and waiting results the lab told me without insure it would've been a $3,500 test. Funny enough coming from my grandfather he had Parkinsons and got b12 injections as well.
- Empty sella syndrome, pretty rare from what doctors have said. Most may have it but not see any symptoms. It's more of a hormone thing and can cause other personal issues such as vitamin defects. Just had a b12 injection yesterday and feel somewhat more energetic. Blood tests play a huge role and endocrinologists.
On the dental side. This one can be very buggy considering the cost all around and from what I hear from members not so much better in their country. One single implant can go around $4,000. Just so happens I'm looking at 6 crowns and two more implants. Lucky for me my insurance is decent enough to cover a lot of it.
With all that being said I'm hoping this might wake up some other members to where if they have the means to go out and get checked. At the most use something like Teladoc. A lot of insurance providers cover tele health visits this days but as I said nothing can beat in person care.
If you're a struggling family do research on what your government can provide. Do be careful there are clone sites of big insurance companies out there just to steal your information. I'd start by talking to family and friends that may already have knowledge on where to get decent insurance at the most.
Take care of your health you only get one body.
