so phones....

Well,I don't use phones,nor will I in the meanwhile,but my parents are buying...

My Dad's gonna get an iPhone 4 from the U.S.,and wondering,how will I be sure if it's jailbreak-able?

Now for my Mom...we're not sure what she's gonna get(touchscreen btw),and Samsung Galaxy S seems to be a competitor,but I'm wondering,in your opinion,what's the best(aside from iPhone if that's your answer)that's pretty good,smexy,and for everyday use+business?
Android is preferred,but other kind of OS(palm,Blackberry,etc) is fine if it's good...
and long-term support too,unlike the Nexus One,boy Google is lazy -_-'

Techincally, Android > iOS...

I still haven't rooted my phone yet, though I think I will do eventually.

Actually, no, that's not what I meant. As far as I know, Apple's App Store is the only legitimate way to install apps on iStuff, while the option to install APKs from non-Market sources is directly supported by Android.

But actually, it's not really needed.
You can pirate apps and games without rooting it.

You just have a little more acces to your phone, like overclocking the CPU.
If you want to customize, well, you already can :P

lol,so I'm deciding if we're getting Desire HD,Samsung Galaxy S,or...X10(well not really,but won't hurt)

Though I think we're going with Desire,cuz of the cool features
