So no IOSU until now! ?!

I was waiting for the IOSU for a long time like many of you here but nothing came out of it. No release, no beta , no progress report, nothin, I know that nobody owes me nothing blah blah blah , yada yada yada. But then i think, why a dev saying things that he is not planing to do in the end. Why starting all this in the first place?

Why start another thread of this nature? I hope mods lock and shut down.

Just be patient or get a 5.3.2 console.

These things take time, and you don't want an IOSU exploit, you want what everyone wants, get homebrew access on boot, just like the wii, and that, is going to take a while...
Get a 5.3.2 console in the meantime.

I got a 5.4.0 and i play games on it with no problem.

Forget March, even if the exploit is released, and i think it won't just now, there's no use for the average user, it still going to take development. I'm just hopping for getting rid of the random crashes and having a PC next to the console.

Maybe referencing March was a bad idea anyway, since Hykem said that "it'll be done when it's done". June time, here we come!

And he couldn't say it differently, he is looking for a needle on a haystack, there's no way to tell how long it's going to take. He said he may have found something in the boot loader, and is looking into it, that would be a real achievement, the IOSU exploit he already got.

I wouldn't hold my breath. I'm looking at a early 2017 release myself. Mostly because the NX will be coming out this Christmass season, according to gaming websites who are also prone to being wrong, and thus who knows. Maybe hykem wants to even port it to the NX somehow and that will make it take longer.

PS - not really a complain from my part. I'm happily enjoying splatoon online at the moment and I beat every other game that interests me on Wii U (at the moment).

Maybe he wanted to do it, until a million idiots started saying shit, ruining it for the rest.
Or maybe he is still doing it.

ok well aren't there better options for putting stuff on your tv (chromecast, hdmi cable) than pestering devs to develop apps for an underpowered console?
I'm not trying to diss wii u hacking in general, but realistically people should not expect devs to devote all their time to it

We only have one HDMI input on our TV. (I know, it's 2016, bleeeh)

I'm patient and I certainly don't mind waiting, obviously some people aren't though

Usually, just my opinion of course, best games tend to exist on consoles, a lot less online hacks, overall a better gaming experience. PC has the better graphics, but you need to spend a lot more on hardware, and need to keep it updated often, a more expensive alternative.

I don't own a gaming PC, i think it's not worth it, I'm just another peasant who owns 5 consoles, one MacBook Pro and an iMac. Having a hobbie with more than 20 years fixing pcs, we tend to hate windows OS.
