So I went ahead and bought SX OS

I know I know, eventually we will get Atmosphere and/or whatever derivative port of it once the cfw is completed. However I gotta wonder, at this point, whatever will show up in Atmosphere will very likely be is SX OS as well, considering that TX is basically stealing the code.

I held out hoping that TR would create a big splash and pop out the OS by summer, or mid summer by latest. But at this point i dont realy care. I admit I'm a dirty pirate out for free games, and whatever will come out of TR will already be out with SX OS. I see no more point in waiting except hoping for a free meal.

Welp, not quite, most of it is open-source and free use, but I'm pretty sure one piece of code was licensed and not for redistribution. They could press charges but they said they wouldn't. (Also now you're kinda being an ass about it)

Okay, it isn't "hacking code" my friend. I'm not sure what piece of code you are referring to when you say "hacking code", please, tell me what you mean by this. And again, it doesn't matter what the code is, if it has a license that doesn't permit redistribution then the owner can sue.

Dude, you see what you started? There is no benefit to making an announcement like this. Would you really tell everyone you were going to steal a car? You are just dangling red meat. Before you know you will be getting letters to your home demanding money to buy your way out of being taken to court. I have seen this happen. I really don't understand why people are not a little bit more discreet about this stuff.

Okay, you are being a fool. Buying SX OS is NOTHING like stealing a fckn car. Saying he's "dangling red meat" couldn't be further off, it's like you assume, he's the only one who bought SX OS. He is one fish to an ocean my friend. He's a small fry and Nintendo don't give to shits of a fuck about him. He will not be getting letters about court LOL, you think Nintendo are really going to battle an individual in court over using SX OS? As for being discrete, he didn't exactly post his home address, his name, date of birth or any other information and I highly doubt Nintendo would send the hounds after the fella to trace him through GBATemp lmao.

There are two things here. For one it is just not smart to openly admit to being a pirate if you do not need to. All you need is for Nintendo or Sony or whoever else to shut seize the site, and they will have user names and emails and all the threads. I know you think that it is not possible, but I am telling you I have seen it. The other thing is that there is all this heat because of TX stolen code. This is why you should not make threads like that. I think you had it right with the thread being a mistake.

No, I fully understand that they can easily collect user emails, something you don't quite realise is that it would be a lot more hassle to target EVERY individual or attempt to seize a forum for doing nothing wrong than to just attack the source, TX is who they care about, not the consumer.

You are very right about that, but there is also guilt by ones own admission. The loudest one in the room is the one that goes down. I have learned it would be best to stay off the radar if at all possible.

My point for this thread is that I feel the waiting for the free crusade is pointless. What will be offered for free will contain what was already delivered, and continuing the cycle, in a sense. Atmosphere will eventually be released, and a third party back up loader will be released after that. But what I get right now and later through SX OS will be a lot of the same codes that will be in Atmosphere.

For me personally, I'm fine with forking out a little money now and enjoy "the bleeding edge"? as some might say. It's the cost of being an early adopter.
