I've started this afternoon with two setbacks already.
I managed to break a glass.
I accidentally made a heavy coffee cup fall into the sink.
I had left an ordinary glass in the sink.
The cup survived the over ½ meter fall without even getting chipped.
The glass was crushed into bits, bops, and pieces by the cup.
Picking out broken glass among dirty dishes is not fun.
I almost managed to scratch my thumb, but I was careful.
My second problem was this:
I've owned this for a few months, ever since my normal sound card (Creative Audigy ZS 2) started constantly playing white noise and incredible volumes.
I plugged it in today using a USB extension cable, then connected a portable iPod speaker to it.
I was trying to use the iPod speaker as an ordinary speaker for my computer.
So I plug everything in correctly.
Then try playing a YouTube video to try out the fidelity.
(Obviously I'm not expecting much from a 2 $ sound card from DX)
So the sound was pretty much crap.
Then the sound started fading back and forth.
I WTFace'd and took a look at my USB sound card.
I see smoke slowly building up inside if it.
The sound is completely gone now.
Then, a loud pop is heard, and the sound card explodes.
A pillar of smoke rises from it.
It stinks.
The plastic cracks slightly, and the black spot on the inside (dunno what it is called) is cracked.
I'm afraid to try it out and see if it still works.
Should I?
Feels unnecessary, considering I bought 4 of these in the case that one would break.
