Screw Economics, Screw School.

For the past 2 days I have been printing 104 pages of Stock information for my Economics class. I had 8 stocks that I was watching for the past 13 weeks and the teacher wanted a graph for every week for every stock. So, I had to sorta graph (I cheated a lil, I admit) and graph and label 104 pages of stock graphs.

My teacher just killed a small forest.

I hope the teacher recycles and why doesn't she require you to bring a disc or flash drive to show all graphs instead of printing 104 pages, killing the rainforest.

Don't teachers already get paid with your/our taxes we pay?
And they still asking more from you. :O

Yeah, I had many many professors who expected me to print out two copies of homework (one to hand in at the beginning of class, and one to go over during class), and hundreds of pages worth of notes. They got one copy of my homework, period. The next week I would hand in my next assignment on the same piece of paper, reverse-side. Then I would take class-notes in the margins. I'm not so much a conservationist as a cheap bastard.

Now, onto something more relevant to what you had to do: when I was in HKU this professor had us do a little stock portfolio thing. There was a really cool website where you could make a virtual portfolio with HSI stocks and it would track all the necessary info for you. At the end of the term we just had to log into our account (they had a computer hooked up to a projector) and give a little report! I'm guessing you're in a huge class with like 800 students though...

I had a professor who wanted two copies of the essay that was handed in. (Turnitin.com - the digital reciept is a smaller version of it.)

Fortunately, my uni doesn't charge for printouts - at least in the normal computer commons.

I love being in a computer-based course in college. 80% of my work is done and handed in on the computer, 15% is practical, and 5% is written. :P

I just print everything out at school
school and recreational stuff

probably printed over 500 pages of stuff per semester

Unfortunately, I have a print quota of... 750 pages I think for one school year. That's 3 semesters.

Damn, thats pretty sweet? Whats the site name? Maybe it will help out some of my friends when they do it.
And we don't have a big class, we have probably about 120 kids in my class and its split up, so the first part of the year I took Economics so next Semester I have to take Government.

Jesus! Thats a lot of papers, I don't think I have ever printed out that many in my whole life (Well this Stock Project probably got it up there :P)

And he doesn't let us bring it in on a Flashcard because he is an old style teacher. He doesn't connect with us at all, and he reads right from the book. He is still teaching like he is in the 70's.
