So apparently Australia is the first place the film 'Scott Pilgrim vs. The World' was released, that is, tonight. (Apart from those lucky film festival/Comic-Con goers)
Having not read the comic itself, I entered the cinema with mixed opinions about it. The trailer looked promising, but I feared it would be too 'corny', for want of a better word...
How wrong I was. From the 8bit style Universal logo, all the way through to the final boss fight, 'Scott Pilgrim vs. The World' played like a game. And that was awesome.
None of the intricate CGI additions seemed out of place, not much, at least in my opinion, could have been done better. (Well maybe the love triangle was a bit meh, but a moot point as such)
Sadly the Tweed 'AMC Multiplex' cinema's sound wasn't quite up to the job and I found myself paying almost as much attention to the sound as I did the film, but its a great excuse to watch it again..![big grin :D :D](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
In-fact, the cinema was almost completely empty.. Would've been the perfect opportunity to um, take some happy snaps.![smile :) :)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
Anyway, I haven't posted in a while, but figured that a) there'd be a few Aussies on here that have seen the film too and b) someone might be interested in yet another opinion of said film.
PS. It has a LOT of Zelda references.![tongue :P :P](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
