Scared

My BF just tried to commit suicide today, by taking a bottle of his pill meds and upending it in his mouth. And when the Police came, they treated this as a felony crime and accused me of trying to kill him. I said "BULLSHIT"!. :angry::angry::angry::angry::angry: All I did was turn away from him for a second to clean up his bowel mess he made. After all said and done, they finally took him to the hospital. I am left here tramatized by what has transpired. :wtf: Thank you all for listening to me.

I'm not even going to speculate how they came to that conclusion despite seeing the state you were in, but I would ask whether you have cause to be legally concerned of said allegations.

If so, then I suggest you ready yourself with some legal counsel for the worst-case scenario.
It's always a hassle to get into litigation, but from experience I can tell you it's better to be prepared than on the back foot.

yeah, I hope he gets the help he needs, maybe some counseling. I don't know why they might think you had something to do with it, but I do know that the police take people who are suicidal very seriously. they usually take the person to the hospital for a mental health evaluation, then the person has to stay for a few days while he or she is monitored. I've been that depressed before myself, and fast forward to today, I'm on disability for mental health reasons.

Shit. When someone hits the suicide button, it's really hard to take them back to reality. Please, keep all eyes on him, give him support and help. But at the same time, there are some suicidal people who got common sense, and some other "type" that are just plain nuts. If its the later, help but you must go away as soon as possible. But the help is something that everyone with those issues need and a lot of it.

It is very sad. I really hope that things get better soon. Reach for help and do all you can but keep in mind that YOU are the priority before helping anyone else. You must not sacrifice your well being for the well being of others first.

Hope it all remains in a sour memory and everything gets better. Honest. Blessings.

that's fucked up.
don't lose yourself, try getting your boy to talk what triggered him. if he wants, then help him get professional help from a shrink or docter.
keep in mind whatever he does and whatever he's gonna say, it's he who does these things you didn't put him there.
whatever the reason he's giving, it's his observation, that doesn't need to be the truth.
keep it together, and don't go into the what if spiral thinking.
hope you'll both get better soon

Still angry at the cops, using a felony entry tactic on a attempted suicide call? I'm watching him and I'm afraid I can't leave to get groceries. He's a bit incoherent at the moment. :(

@OldBoi probably because the centrall communicated in a hurry in a hurry people tend to forget mentioning detailles, if the cops just got an adress of interest , i'd get it they use such a tactic.
still you're right to be angry, it made a bad situation worse.
