Rest in Piece Rex

I just got a call today from my brother. He got home today and found Rex dead in the backyard. He was 15 years old and i knew he was sick, and dying was a possiblity but I just couldn't prepare for this. The worst was that I couldn't say goodbye as I am studying away from home. I am going to miss him so much.

I never had a pet, but I remember this conversation I had with my dad as a kid.

"I don't think I would ever want a pet."
"Why not?"
"It would be too sad when they died."
"You're not supposed to think of it like that. One sad moment shouldn't negate all the happy times you had together."

Think of it like that. Your dog lived a very, very long life for a dog, and I'm sure he knew you loved him!

I feel you pain. Same thing happened to me this year. One of my families cats died this year and I wasn't there since I'm dorming. Didn't get to say goodbye or nothing. Losing a pet always sucks. Wish you and Rex the best.

That's exactly why I don't like having pets, I'm the type to get too attached to things once I get them. :(

My condolences, I can't feel your pain, but I know it hurts to lose something you love. :sad:
