Pirating?

My dad is worried that downloading real Nintendo DS games, like Rocket Slime or Pokemon, is pirating. I'm pretty sure it is, but my brother wants me to check.

Hah. Yes it is, It's illegal, if you dont want potential consequences don't do it. Plus those games are good, help out the developers.

I'm a pirate because of my dad. I wouldn't even know what a damn ROM is without him.

wow good thing you found out fast enough. yes piracy is completely illegal and a horrible horrible thing to do to the people that worked so hard to make games. If the FBI do come to your house because of piracy, you can rest assured that you will not only be in trouble that you dearly wish you weren't involved in you will also probably be fined a great deal of money. It's just not worth it, piracy is horrible and the risks behind it are so great and unbearable it's almost as if you are a criminal when you constantly break the law that many times to download things illegally. I mean come one, even Dice, one of our staff members here came in this thread and told you how bad it was. I mean yes, some people obviously over exagerated when they are like "lol the SWAT Team came to my house" but you understand the point that there is grave and horrible consequences if government officials do indeed become aware of the fact that people are routinely breaking the law in your household. No the SWAT team will not come to your house but if the FBI does I can guarantee you that you will be crying about why you did it in the first place. It will be pretty bad, trust me. Do your parents know how bad it is? I am guessing not obviously, show them this thread if you are really going to keep breaking the law even after one of the staff members here told you how bad it was. Are you really still going to keep it up? I mean honestly, are you?

Yes dont be a pirate, not good. we here at gbatemp dont pirate, hence the rules about no illegal roms.

    If your internet speeds are fast enough. Streaming 4k takes alot. I used to only have 20mb sec, and 4k struggled. Now I have 300mb sec and 4k plays fine.

    I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

    i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect

    Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

    That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
