I have been re-interested in those virtual pet toys with pedometers. I had one made by Nintendo, featuring Pikachu - you basically walked with it, and the more you played with it, the more animations you unlock. I remember a cute animation that the character would do when Pikachu was mad - he would disappear from the screen, leaving "motion marks", and you'd have to shake the pedometer rapidly to get pikachu to appear. The best thing about it, it basically takes care of itself - no feeding it, no messing with it.
So, basically, I've found out that Asia has a new tamagotchi type - that's exactly the same as the Pikachu one. Except that the story is that your tamagotchi crash lands on Earth, in the USA, and you basically travel with it to make money so it can get back to it's home planet. Anyhow, it's like $35 Canadian for one, and shipping too. I'm just trying to make money on ebay/etsy for it - and it's just a very very trying experience. (Everyone wants a deal, and it's just...gah...seriously?) I have about $8 on paypal, and it annoys me - I could have very easily paid for one if I didn't buy a new DSL battery and a charger.
I seriously haven't been playing anything on my DS lately. I've been reading a book titled Cold Plague about a company making money off of perfectly pristine water (from a lake under a glacier) that has microorganisms in it. These contain prions (basically, protein strands that mutate other protein strands and turn the victim's brains into swiss cheese). Just very interesting, I guess.
I also need a haircut. I used to wear a bob, and the length of my bangs are driving me bonkers.
I go back to university on Sunday - the residence reopens then. First thing I'd do is order pizza and some junk food and share with my roommates.
Also, trying to save up money for my girlfriend's trip to see me down here. I hate long distance relationships - phone cards, long conversations, and weird amounts of phone sex. (Although, my girlfriend is worried that she has menopause - she's a decade older than am I, and African-American women seem to have an early history of early menopause.) The menopause is important as we want to use technology to have a genetically "ours" child.
My stamp carving will probably overwhelm me with it's stuff - so I'm thinking of setting up an etsy shop - to sell off some of the pieces, and to get some extra spending money.
