Of allergies and stupid people....

So, my cousins are allergic to everything under the sun. Most of the reactions are terrifying, and involve ambulance rides or a good old visit to the oxygen tank/tent. One of my earliest memories is my namesake cousin having trouble breathing and then going for a ride in that scary/noisy ambulance.

One of the things my cousins are allergic to is standard laundry detergent. Anything will set them off - but it's not a deadly reaction, it's just a minor rash/itch. Even the "free" - pure and organic/dye free stuff sets them off. And it's annoying, every time I watch them scratch, I ITCH!

Did you know that you could make your own laundry detergent/soap? I didn't, but I made some all the same. It's a 1:1:1 ratio of washing soda (soda ash), borax, and grated soap shreds. You use it a tablespoon at a time - it makes everything smell good!

My cousins were at my place tonight, and they had spilled soy sauce onto their shirts. I ended up washing their clothing with the handmade stuff,, and they were happy about it! (The stains had come out perfectly!)

Long story short - they stopped itching. My aunt asked me to make a jar for them - she paid me $20 for it. (Way too little in my opinion, as grating the soap takes forever and a day.)

Also - bid on my auction on Gulf Aid Now! It's for your own custom stamp - I also cover shipping! (It's the first comment - you bid on auctions, and you pay the donation - and you sen proof of payment - a screenshot or anything else!) It starts at $12!

Gulf Aid Now

Gaming Wise: I hate Pokemon SS right now. I can't seem to beat the Kimono gals at anything, and they wipe the floor with me. I don't want to bring out my Electrive to fight them...

Life Wise: There's a 100+ family garage sale going on this Sunday. I want to hunt bargains now - although I'd mostly buy soap and craft supplies. There's nothing else I want at the moment....and I also have to clean the house in order to find stuff to sell. (I might sell my copy of Rhasphody and Di-Gata Defenders....)

Craft Wise: I'm knitting my mother a vest. I'm not too happy with it, but it's going to take a heavy amount of effort. Also, am making a sign for the Pride organization I'm involved in. It glows in the dark! (I hope it doesn't get destroyed at Pride - damn water pistols!)

Lol. I'd probably use that - if I can find a cheap one....maybe the garage sale will be a good area to find stuff! :D

I knew some people who had that kind of allergic responses. They did a special diet and therapy, and now they can eat and do anything they want, without needing an ambulance ride or something. It's a real miracel. My nephew couldn't even touch anything that had some kind of weed or nut in it. He did that therapy for 3 months or so, and is cured ever since. He eats cereal every morning and Doritos are his favourite meal.

I don't know why, but the Kimono girls were easy for me, seeing as everyone says they're really hard to defeat. I used my Typhlosion and Gyarados (The one you find at Lake of Rage) for most of the battles, and none of my Pokemon ever fainted.
