New Wii!

I finally got a wii. I have some questions about hacking and updates but I was kinda afraid asking it on forums.
I bought a black wii so it's already on 4.2E. When I launch shopping channel I get a message saying I need a system update.
Should I go ahead with it? Is it a minor update over 4.2E Or is it better to install HBC first then attempt the update?

Well go for it, I doubt it will do anything as I haven't heard of a firmware later than 4.2 and it's not as if you won't be able to bannerbomb it anyway

IIRC Black Wii's arn't hackable because they contain a different motherboard or something like that...

EDIT: Opps my bad, turns out they can be hacked, black wiis just have a different drive...

Alright I made it update and used bannerbomb to install HBC. But I belive I'll need an new SD to use BootMii (I'll rather make a NAND backup before anymore hacks)

    I think the best way to make it work is to construct my terrain out of triangles and then delete those tris in my "deletion area"

    From there I could just connect the tris surrounding the deletion area to the area
