My Umbrian experience

Just returned from another week-end, this time in Umbria.

We stayed in a double-building hotel for two days, and we got a room which was soundproofed and had two huge double windows. Only bad thing is that there wasn't any Internet connection at all, darn it. That is why I could not connect on this site.

First itinerary was Perugia, where one of the most important chocolate factories is located. I, together with my friends, organised a nice stroll in the historic centre and visited many places in the guidebook. We also went to Spello, a small city known for its top-notch quality extra virgin olive oil, so much we bought a 3-litre can of it!

On the second day we went to Assisi, up to St. Francis' Cathedral (which is a UNESCO World Heritage). You probably remember that in 1997 it fell down due to an earthquake, however it was reconstructed and still stands up to this day!

You MUST visit these cities. I'm sure you will not regret it.

Sounds really interesting! Especially the chocolate factory part; sounds absolutely delicious.

However..."Only bad thing is that there wasn't any Internet connection at all, darn it." That'd piss me off, for sure. And, well, Sydney's (NSW's?) current state of lockdown - and my own dislike of travelling due to loss of comforts - prevents me from actually going.

I'm surprised a place like Spello wasn't mentioned at all in the Harry Potter franchise, though.
