The thing was that Rayder already talked of retiring. So, it wasn't too far away for you to leave as well.

I just took it at face value. Saw no reason for a fake retiral, or why it would even be considered a prank. Prank announcements are generally something fairly ludicrous that people go "WTF?!?" at. This was just...an announcement
