My Biggest Gaming Accomplishment

I played many a video game. Mosts game you play and finish boom its done, forget everything about it because beating the game was the accomplishment. Some games have segments that are incredibly memorable like beating Sephiroth the first time in Kingdom Hearts 1 or landing the stupid plane in Top Gun, beating Mike Tyson in Punchout etc.etc.etc. Been thinking it over for the past 5 minutes and I already know what mine is...

CATCHING EVERY POKEMON AND BREEDING "PERFECT" IV WITHOUT USING CHEATS

I started to replay Pokemon when XY came out, previously I skipped all of them after Pokemon Crystal. It was weird when I found out about pokemon IVs and EV's and nature and base stats and abilities/secret abilites. I was blown away, I had no clue beforehand. although I already knew about the ditto breeding from the original johto game on GBC. Pokemon Bank was annnounced and I was all over it.

Bought a DSlite, bought used pokemon games (which are rare) and got to work. To my surprise most of the gamecarts had the GameStop exclusives event pokemon which I transfered into my XY(although newer events gave them back eventually like deoxys mew etc) it was tough because I knew the pokeball from the mom parent transfered so I had to make sure none of them were ever in a great ball or ultraball and I had to catch a female in the correct ball with the correct nature and the hidden ability. This took the longest because I was very specific with Apricorn Balls. Transferring them was a jiff except for one generation where you had to play a mini game and recatch them in order for them to transfer.

Breeding was made incredibly easy in XY and from there it was smooth sailing but the shiny blue powerful ones seem to take forever, I think I had to hatch 800+ just to get black charmander. The shiny blue ones are the best, vulpix, ponyta etc.

I wrote this little blurb because I was thinking "what if pokemon gen8 completely changed the core game (like gen1+2 to gba) and the pokemon were no longer transferable, would I have to start all over?" I hope not, UNLESS... The pokemon company decides to do a complete reboot of the series and start from no1 in the pokedex and completely change the monster designs for better. Blastoise should not have two shoulder cannons and mega bastoise is stupid, but there are worse progression were the pokemon doesn't progress naturally like a charmander or sandshrew and goes from a little owl to a bowguy or a little chick to a four limb fighting Rito tribemans

i beat every souls games with platinum and i invaded the shiee out, do u even pvp bro??

@gameboy Not that big an accomplishment, MANY people have done it. If it was legit 5/6IV shiny versions of every Pokemon that can be bred and one for each gender, then that would be something. For now, those are just rookie numbers!:P

PS: The designs are fine, Blastoise is a pretty good looking Pokemon and so is Blaziken. If you think those are bad and mentioning them over things like Klefki, Watchog, Cherrim, Chingling, Mime Jr., Garbodor, the elemental monkeys, Musharna line, Roggenrola, Florges line, Barbaracle line or Aegislash line then you have a really weird taste...

I PvP, but not competitive just for fun, I usually send one or two pokemon and try to beat six Pokémon

@ThoD
Not many people can claim to have caught every Pokémon then breed all into perfect IVs without using cheat codes or pkhex. My perfect pokemon I caught a friend safari ditto and I bred all females to pass down the ball and hidden ability (multi scale dragonite with extreme speed had to be breed from soul silver heart gold and was so rare they did an event for it later on) for battle pokemon I go the 6IV route on pokemon with very high balanced base stats (dragonite, venusaur, etc) but for something like golem where the sp.atk was really low I left those guy at 5iv but the 6th category was always above 25ivs, per the pokemon iv guy. Egg moves were easy to do so nothing hard about that.

XY really started the rebreeding thing because previously only 3ivs were passed down with the destiny knot making perfect pokemon breeding much more random in the Ds generation. I know pkhex came later and everyone uses that now, but it took me around 800+hrs to go the legit route, and its my biggest gaming accomplishment

The other person isn't having fun though, 6vs2 battles are VERY boring, so while you are having "fun" with it, the other person probably is just getting bored or annoyed. And I know a LOT of people who have done it, me included (bred AT LEAST one competitive shiny for each gender of every Pokemon). Extremespeed Dragonite is nothing big, not only is it a joke to get (is LITERALLY given to you in-game after the Mahogany gym), but you can just find breedjects everywhere, like on GTS or Wonder Trade, so it's a joke to get such things. They never did an event for it because of it's rarity, it's just that Dragonite is popular, reason there are so many events with it. On top of that, HA weren't a thing in HG/SS, so what you said is impossible to do...

Another thing that's impossible to do is to know the IVs of any stats that aren't 31 or 0 if you have at least one stat being 31, meaning that the "always above 25ivs, per the pokemon iv guy" is a lie, as any sum of above 151IVs gives you the same score, meaning that past that you CAN'T know from the judge alone what the IVs for the non-perfect or non-0 stats are. As for 6IV route, it's a waste, only get IVs in what you plan to use and for exclusively special attackers get their attack IVs as 0, while for Trick Room teams get their speed IVs as 0.

I THINK it was 4 IVs in Gen 5 with Destiny Knot, but back then at least it stacked with Power items, but not it doesn't. Anyway, 800 hours sound about right though, took me about 1100 and a LOT of eggs (somewhere around 132000).

@ThoD
The IV guy will say certain quotes on where the Pokemon's IVs are and you can tell if they're very high or low even at lv1. I was really trying to shorten up the blog so I might have been very inaccurate or nonspecifically summarizing a lot of the exact process I went through especially with the hidden abilities breeding process because there are really good guides out there that I just followed. The pokewalker that came in HGSS gave hidden abilities but you couldn't get apricorn on them is right but not all hidden abilities are good for battle and not all pokemon can battle so the hidden ability for them is just for show.

As for the PvP thing, I almost always lose, i usually just battle to see how good certain pokemon are in single or groups, following and breeding using the serebii battle guide just makes pokemon too predictable and boring, its why when that guy won with emolga (I think) it just shocked everyone
